Called his office for an update on my case six times over three months and never received an answer past his gate keeping secretary who said "he will call you back" when in reality he never does. I've met with a new lawyer once and have gotten further with her than I ever did with him. Would not recommend to my enemy.

Attorney Hoogeveen Takes the scary out of medical power attorney and power of attorney paper. He explains everything in words that you can understand. He really cares about working with elderly clients and making sure they understand what their decisions mean to them and to their family members. Do not hire he will not fight for you, he will give you paperwork to sign that’s not in your favor, he will talk down on you, he told me that Indiana is a republican state which has nothing to do with my case. The state of Indiana told him what to do in front of the judge. He stole my money and he has not responded for a refund, and won’t answer the phone, he committed an act called theft by deception he was not working with me he was working with the prosecutors.

I was so afraid of using a public defender. Kyle was there for me at my lowest after being assigned my case. He was amazing. He stayed with me despite my skepticism, he answered my questions and was so patient with me. He listened to my concerns and got everything I needed done before it was all over. This attorney was not on the ball at all. I spoke with his assistant over a week ago, spent 45 minutes for intake information. My appointment was scheduled for 11:00 am, I had to pay $250 for consultation fee. l didn’t receive a call at 11:00 am. I called the office almost 10 minutes later and the assistant connected me to this attorney. He didn’t seem very attentive, didn’t appear to have any solid answers and I told him we were going no where on this conversation. He was keyboarding most of the time. I asked why he charged a consultation fee and I didn’t think he could help me. He refunded my fee. I would not recommend this attorney at all. In fact if I could have given 0 stars I would have.
