Mike's team is extremely good. My case was atypical in 2020 before the pandemic the IRS sent me an audit for the years 2016 & 2017. The letter said that I owed approximately $600,000 agreed. Attached to that in 2022 they sent me another letter that they would audit 2020 & 2021 in the end I had not finished with 2016 & 17 and I already had 2020 & 21 to audit. The total was approximately $1,500,000. It was tragically hard to be able to live like this. The most important thing that could happen to me was finding Mike and Janna. They helped me throughout the entire process. It was incredible that after 4 years letters from the IRS started arriving with happy resolutions for me. To cut a long story short, I only paid 1.4% of everything the IRS said I owed. If you are in trouble with the IRS, do not hesitate to call them, they will help you.

They completely dropped the ball .. they my missed final appeal deadline with the USTC. They never withdrew as counsel so I couldn't respond for myself... is infuriating as a small business owner to pay $250 -$500 per the minute for legal counsel only to find out your attorney is NOT familiar with Administrative Law as the Utah State Tax Commission Judge so blanty wrote in their ruling. I should have stuck with my instinct and found different counsel when I first noticed some concerns with the attorney office turnover, but I didn't... so $6000 later and final appeal deadline completely missed. Maybe you should ask more questions and make sure you're hiring the right counsel? Because once you miss that final appeal you DO NOT get another chance. Case Closed They totally screwed me in the end. Likable staff just not good for admin law

If you are looking for a tax attorney, Mike and his team have been incredible for us! Not only did they get us an unbelievable settlement, they allowed us to be on a payment plan with them that was so reasonable while they worked extremely diligently on our case! This firm was worth every penny I spent with them because I was paying someone who was actually working FOR us! I stopped worrying about our back taxes as soon as they took over for us! Incredible experience!

I have been using the professional services of Huntsman, Lofgren, Walton since 2012. Throughout these years the firm has consistently represented my intertest with the highest standards. Michael Lofgren and Janna Richens have always been my tax gurus and I highly recommend them.

I was contacted by this firm to assist with an IRS matter. Having already spoken with other firms I knew what the solution was and conveyed that. The lawyer I spoke with agreed it was very simple and it should be well under $1000. I got an invoice for $800 and was glad that got resolved when I got a second invoice for over $500. It was really infuriating they took so long on such a simple case with unnecessary steps, like calling me for a detailed explanation (billing me for that) and then asking me to write an email for that detailed explanation (which of course they had to review and bill for). I have trust and estate work that I need and I would never go back to working with them. The fact they could take so long working on something so simple and mischaracterize the expected billing by almost 40% is ridiculous. Don’t work with them. You’ll be handed off to not even the main attorney and still pay a fortune for a simple task. I can’t imagine how much I’d be spending to work with them on something complex.

Patience is a virtue and this is best remembered when working with attorneys. Janna is pleasant,professional,ethical and expedient. try to consider that yours is not the only case they are working on.

MRs. Walton was my Guardian at Litem, she was supposed to conduct several interviews, she did not. She was supposed to keep in contact with me throughout the process especially when I had my kids, she did not. I talked to her twice on the phone, she talked to my daughter about 45 min and my son for about 10 min one time that’s it, though she lied and told my attorney she did have other follow ups and such but just plain lied and didn’t, though she did talk to my ex wife a lot! I have court orders that my ex violated over 100 times, been to court a lot over it, she won’t let me talk to kids on the phone, she refuses my visitation and she bad mouths me a lot in front of my kids ( horrible mother). Mrs walton said that she feels my ex is mean and says way to much but is not alienating my rights and said kids need their dads a lot in their life, then turned around and recommended I see my kids half the time I do now and that I should drive 800 mile round trip every other month to see them, well I have been doing that and my ex still refuses to let my daughter come with me even when I drive that far to pick them up at her house, I wonder if Mrs Walton still thinks my rights are not alienated!! Maybe if she actually did her job she would have found out more but no she didn’t, charged me a arm and a leg for nothing, ever dealt with such lazy and unprofessional lawyers before, then her assistant Kevin told me she will not accept payments like every lawyer does and she will sue me if I don’t pay all right now up front, he told me to go borrow money from someone else to give to them! I refused and finally worked out a agreement for payments that they will take funds from my account automatically till it was paid off, I agreed! Once it was paid off they continued to steal money from me and kept taking it out, I had to call them a bunch, e-mail them a bunch very hard to get ahold of, they wouldn’t give all my money back direct deposit but did give some and mailed a check, once that was done they called me back asking me to not post a bad review!! These people here… at least Mrs Walton does not care at all about your case, kids, right or wrong!!!! But only cares about how much money she can take from you and they made that perfectly clear!!!! I tried calling them a lot wondering why she was not doing what she said she was and the assistant Kevin would tell me I did not call or leave any messages! Until he actual looked at his computer and seen my calls and messages then had to swallow his tongue!! If you are looking for a lawyer or even a Guardian at Litem I would strongly consider going anywhere else but here!!!! They will do nothing for you, they will lie to judges and other attorneys involved, threaten to sue you because they don’t want to accept monthly payments. And will plain and simple do nothing at all for you or your children, they only care about money. They are crooks!!!! Please do yourself a favor and hire someone else, if the opposing party wants to use her as a GAL, refuse you can get someone else! Very unprofessional people here
