Having been injured at work and being let go after working there for 20 years because I filed for Workers Comp (WC) were the darkest points of my working career. In my experience, filing for WC was a big discouragement given that I’ve learned big corp. usually would fire injured workers to avoid paying for the medical/financial benefits that are due to them. They would also strip you of the retirement benefits that you’ve worked for over the years. Unfortunately, all these things happened to me. Thank God for Super Lawyer Lisa Ivancich and her great staff for bringing justice to my case. I’m forever grateful for her tenacity, knowledge, and hard work in representing and settling my case favorably. While filing for WC/SIBTF took years to settle, Lisa and her staff were always there for me. Lisa is not only a Super Lawyer, she is also a wonderful person who listens and understands where I was coming from. She would not give you high hopes, but she and her staff gave their best in getting the medical/financial benefits that I truly deserved. Thank you, Lisa and staff for everything. Did not want to leave this type of review but with the experience I just encountered with this firm, they left me no choice. This review is based off my own personal experience with representatives of this firm. I had a telephone appointment scheduled with this firm and had to reschedule due to becoming extremely ill. I rescheduled the second appointment for two weeks later, however I was admitted to the hospital shortly after I rescheduled the appointment. I was in the hospital for over a week which caused me to miss my appointment. I could not call or talk due to medical issues. As soon as I was discharged, I called the firm and received no answer. I then received a letter in the mail stating they could not represent me but with no explanation as to why. I sent a detailed email to a representative of the firm explaining my circumstances and why I missed the appointment. I received a call from the representative a few days later and was told because I “no showed” to my appointment, it caused the firm to miss appointments with other potential clients. The representative confirmed the reason they were not representing me was because I “no showed” for my appointment. I asked the representative if this was still the case given my situation, to which this person replied, “yup, we’re not representing you.” I determined this employee was not trying to hear anything I had to say, so I said thank you and we disconnected. This firm lacks compassion and understanding and is as unprofessional as it gets. I absolutely understand time is valuable and appointments should be for potential clients who are serious about their case and want to be heard. However, I had absolutely no control over getting sick at the time I did nor did I have control over the severity of it putting me in the hospital. It was not my intention to “no show,” but to refuse to represent me because I missed a telephone appointment due to serious medical reasons is as unethical as it gets. At this point, I’m just glad I saw the unprofessionalism right away.

I received very little help with my case. I was never able to receive timely replies to questions and there wasnt any urgency in the staffs actions in regard to time sensitive material.

Very misleading Did consultation and seemed everything was good Spent much time on phone updating receptionist on case A few weeks later I get a letter saying they wouldn't take my case it was Too Complicated...your kidding me...isn't that what lawyers do Sad thing it's not complicated Waste of time Always keep looking because the very next lawyer I spoke was very interested and nabbed my case and added unlawful termination Your sorry doesn't help me at all

Everything about them is poor quality. It took them 4 months after I filled out the agreement that they would represent me, that I received a today, (3/13/2021) letter stating that they won't represent me. Since I was unable to get any response from them, I fired them a month ago. Not two weeks ago they told me to contact them after a QME appointment and we would go from there. They have no concept of professionalism. I also think is has to do with that I am male. I have heard a lot of complaints from males who have had the same result. Run for you lively hood. They will leave you to die with no remorse.

Having professionally contested cases against both Lisa and Athena, I can honestly say that they, the other attorneys in their office, and their staff, are exceptional representatives for injured workers. Although tremendous advocates for their clients, both Lisa and Athena are still very pleasant and easy to work with. They and their great staff are very responsive to inquiries (but don't make too many--they're very busy!), and they resolve problems very quickly. In my experience, they go beyond the normal range of advocacy found in a workers' compensation attorney, persistently pressing and pushing for every possible advantage and benefit for their clients. Highest recommendation.

Nice people but late for the appointment.

This place's customer service sucks we needed advice and representation they left us waiting and the waiting room for 45 minutes when we had an appointment and we're on time we did not feel that they really cared about our case and where very inconsiderate. Felt like this place is just all about the money maybe if you have a big case easy to win with a lot of money an pay out they might treat you better, your average Joe who doesn't know anything coming off the street and needs some help they treat you like you are beneath them.. I do not recommend them find yourself a real lawyer who genuinely cares.

Lisa Ivancich has been my lawyer for over two years. Lisa and her staff are a great group of people. Real good communication they, explain everything as thoroughly as they can. If you have questions there are readily available by email, phone, or text to snswer whatever your questions are. Lisa is great and accommodating to your needs as a client, and she understands the complicated legal system and breaks it down for you in a way you can understand. It has been a great experience having her represent my workers comp case.
