I just called to ask about finding an attorney for a case that they clearly do that type of cases. And the office assistant was the rudest person and saying that they don’t do criminal cases. And I was referred to them by a former client of his. Wow is all I can say and I would definitely seek out alternative sources for representation. Just awful service wouldn’t use them for anything.

This guy is not a good lawyer at all! He won’t return calls and won’t even follow through with anything he says he will do! He needs to be disbarred permanently!!!!!

Needs to be fired

Jack Shawrtz is by far one of the worst attorneys I have ever had . My name is Dede Chantal Tete . I hired Jack in June of 2020 to take on a guardianship case. When I hired him I explained to him I needed to appeal a decision made by the judge before July 5th . I had 30 days to get it in after the decision on June 5th.I pay him the amount he ask before july5th. He promised to get it done . I found out he doesn’t do it on time files it July 13th. The other attorney obviously attacks us because he field it way late. First mistake. Secondly he doesn’t the first court date for the hearing until 10/26/2020 5 month after I hired him ! Than the day if he cancels and tells me he has another hearing scheduled same day. The worst part he doesn’t even call me to let me know. I called to make sure because of the horrible job they’ve done up until that point. He than promised to send me paperwork filed by other party so that I could respond to it .. waited months never got that. Than he finally gets us back in court February 5th. Which was pushed back to April 7th because the other party wasn’t given proper notice. That by the grace of God was only set up after calling messaging and emailing their law firm many times for. The paralegal Taylor never replies email In a timely fashion . I had to beg for months for them to file a motion to amend parenting time, after that missed appearance on 10/26/2020. They didnt get that filed until January of 2021! April 7th. I again emailed them the day before just to make sure they would actually show up . To my surprise they said Jack was sick and wouldn’t show up to court the next day . Again making my case look horrible . The other parties sure enough shows up . Again we end up looking bad . Now the other parties are angry and their Laywer filed motion of sanction against me asking me to pay them for all this stalling and missed time of attorney fees. Mind you this whole time Jack doesn’t respond to any of the opposing party’s filings after we put in a motion to amend parenting time.. I can’t believe he was even going to appear in court like that in the event he hadn’t got sick.. he than text me a couple days after April 7th to say that he would try to get back to me and set up a new court date . Mind you this is now May .The opposing party now sets up another court date for June 2nd. Never heard a thing back after the missed court date in April . Sure enough somehow I paid them before that court date and I have no clue what they did with that money... I never signed any contract to show me what work had been done or what they are charging me for. I now had to pay another retainer to hire another Laywer. Jacks office owes me money . They owe me proof of the work done . I am also planning to sue them very soon. I didn’t forget a thing . And I will definitely not let this go... I emailed Taylor back in March to give me a receipt and proof of the work done and my refund .. she said she will get back to me . It’s now May 11th. Haven’t heard back from her either. They stalled my case for 1 year did nothing . Never showed up to court . And now costing money to replay to all the sanctions they caused.

Jack was my attorney for my custody case. There are photos of the bruises on my son that his mom and grandma put there. His wife's best friend was the pediatrician involved and he neglected to make mention of the fact. When I was accused of a felony Jack lied and said an Alfred plea would fall off my record in 3years. Only to say" you're a felon now and nobody is going to take what you say seriously again, I couldn't let you drag Margery Franklin's name thru the mud in court, she's my wife's best friend."

Jack Schwartz is fantastic, he has a deep knowledge of the law and wide breadth of experience when it comes to consulting on legal issues. He is easy to reach and his staff provides excellent service.

Jack is the worst attorney you could have. He doesn’t show up. He says he is going to do something and doesn’t do it. Maybe it has something to do with the fact he is nearly deaf and blind and relies on young women in there 20’s to do with work for him that have no law degree whatsoever. Anytime we have questions we have to call the courthouse because he doesn’t answer. He is a 0/10 and needs to retired. I’ve talked to many other attorney and they say the number one problem we have is JACK as our attorney. We have paid him thousands to do absolutely nothing and he doesn’t care to even try for your case. I’d depend more on a public defender than him. Thanks Jack! You completely SUCK!

Jack represented me in my SSDI court case, and with his help, along with Jessica and Kim and the rest of the staff, I was approved for SSDI after a long 2 year battle with SSA.
