*There is an additional narrative at the end of my review that recounts a hearing last Friday 2-27-2026, where Jack, once again, achieved miraculous results. I was fully expecting to be sent to prison. After at least 43 years of representation that has developed into a treasured friendship with Jack B. Swerling, I can confidently say without hesitation that he stands apart in the legal profession. One of my personal experiences includes a case where I was taken into custody for driving under suspension: his intervention was so effective that the highway department actually sent me a letter of apology for having been arrested. This wasn't an isolated incident. Over the years, Jack has provided exceptional legal representation not only to me, but also to my father and numerous friends and associates — whom I've referred to him. What sets Jack apart is his unwavering trustworthiness and dedication to achieving the best possible outcome for his clients. The respect Jack commands within the legal community became clear to me during a court appearance where, despite having multiple character references, the judge was only influenced by Jack's endorsement saying, "This means a lot," and that Jack was "a great man." My sentence was then reduced from 13 to 5 years based on Jack's This speaks volumes about his standing among the judiciary, from local courts to the SCOTUS. This level of respect and admmiration extends to law enforcement as well. The chief of SLED expresseed his opinion, during a recent phone conversation, that I had "the best attorney in South Carolina!" The state's highest-ranking law enforcement official's ensuing comments suggested that he believed Jack was probably one of the best in our country Jack's reputation extends beyond the courtroom and law enforcement as his frequent appearances on the national news for his expert commentary on high profile cases further demonstrate that he is also highly respected by the major networks. His effectiveness as a legal advocate is unmatched in my experience, which reduced the stress I experienced for fear of an unfavorable outcome. if Jack can't secure a favorable result for you, no one can. Jack's performance Friday, 2-27-2026: My wife didn't want a divorce, so she made sure that I went to prison. The facts favored my defense, but I was living in Charleston and Jack didn't have the time to come down and handle this case. Needless to say, I served my time and was released on community supervision on 11-27-2024. I was charged with 2 violations, and Jack managed to persuade the DPPPS hearing officer to reinstate my supervision instead of referring the case to General Sessions for revocation. My supervising agent had asked that I be sent back to prison for 1 year, and he managed to charge me with 5 more violations hoping to have me imprisoned for a year. However, I did not get an administrative hearing, and my case was forwarded to General Sessions for revocation. I was certain the my agent would get his year, but Jack managed to get my supervision reinstated, again! With the two violations that Jack had already handled, this makes 7 violations in total. If your freedom is ever in jeopardy, there is, in my opinion, no price I wouldn't pay to stay from behind those steel doors. But only if Jack is handling the case. I know for a fact that anyone who is lucky enough to fit in his schedule is going to get the best results possible. Jack's No. 1 guy, Curtis Copeland, will probably be Jack's successor when he retires, and Curtis got me out of jail on three of those violations: the 1st time I paid $500, the 2nd time my mother was allowed to sign me out without paying, and a PR Bond the 3rd time — which in and of itself is a miracle. If you end up in prison after reading this review and you didn't retain Jack & Curtis, you may end up regretting it for the rest of your life.

After being interviewed by law enforcement and literally being acquiesced of a capitol crime I called Jack Swerling’s office for help. After my initial meeting with Mr. Swerling, I felt much better about my situation. Jack and his team communicated with me every step of the way.
