Do Not Hire Jason Barbara – He Let Me Down When I Needed Real Help I came to Jason Barbara after already losing full custody of my son, because my previous attorney failed to file key evidence in court — which I have transcripts to prove. I hired Jason to help me fix that mistake and regain the parenting time I had lost. When I first met him, he came off confident and ready to fight. I provided him with a ton of evidence — texts, messages, documents, violations — and trusted he would use it to make my case strong again. He promised he would help me get my time with my son back. Instead, he used none of the evidence. He started pushing for settlement and completely gave up on fighting, even though I made it clear I wanted to go to trial. I spent close to $20,000 on Jason Barbara, and in the end, I was left with less parenting time — not more. Worse, communication with him was poor. I had to schedule every call just to speak with him. I sent detailed emails, and he would forget or ask the same questions over and over again. It felt like I wasn’t being heard or taken seriously at all. Jason Barbara talks a big game, but when it matters, he folds. He did not advocate for me, he did not use the evidence I gave him, and he did not help me regain what I had lost. Nothing has been done on my case for over a year, and the dude still held on to my balance and refused to give me a final invoice, adding to the emotional stress. I cannot get another lawyer until I am cleared from him financially. But he won't give me a final invoice and the balance so I can move forward. How are these things right?.
