Great Law Firm for a criminal case. I had to get an attorney in order to look into my case of 28years and they worked diligently to get me an expungement. I was doing everything wrong and going about this case differently until I hired this firm. Thanks to my attorney Angel Campbell along with Legal Assistant Beatrize for their professionalism, integrity, honesty and communication. Very responsible financially. I would refer this law firm to anyone.

DO NOT! DO NOT use this firm. This place is a sham. Deceitful, manipulative, money, hungry, soulless. Im in a bad post divorce, contempt of court, breach of contract situation. Zachery basically sweet talked me, saying all the right things, to get me to take my last bit of retirement money out to retain them. They have a “fund the kitty strategy” it seems to be beneficial to the client, but reality is a money sucker. After retainment I was given to a more junior attorney who was not informed or experienced enough to pursue the strategy that I had engaged them for. Instead I blew Through $3500.00 in one month with no further progress made in my case. I could go on and on….but DO NOT retain them! Two months later nothing has changed. For the others that have experience similar incidents. I’d love to hear from you. Maybe there’s something as a group we can do that’s impactful.

I am very pleased with the representation I received from Cynthia King! I felt as though she advocated for my best interests without any unnecessary drama. My case was handled quickly and thoroughly! I would highly recommend JC Law to anyone looking for legal support in any family matter!

My experience with JC Law was extremely frustrating and disappointing. During my initial consultation, they brought in a senior member who delivered a very convincing sales pitch about how exceptional the firm was and how they “get things done.” He even went as far as saying they didn’t need my business and would “drop me like a bag of rocks” if I didn’t follow their direction. Despite the aggressive tone, the presentation was persuasive enough that I signed immediately. Unfortunately, from that point forward, the experience went downhill. Communication was consistently poor, and I was frequently contacted with requests for additional payments, often without clear explanations. Each time I called, I spoke with someone different, which made it feel like there was no continuity or real understanding of my case. Most concerning is that I am still waiting for a trial date, leaving me with little confidence that my case was handled effectively. Overall, the process was stressful, unclear, and far more expensive than expected. I would not recommend this firm. Save yourself the time, frustration, and significant expense.

The worst Legal representation I experienced in my life. the outcome of my case has no bearing on my review. I am a retired Naval Officer, and I have so many complaints that I don't know where to begin. The only representation needed was to review and correct my complaint, respond to the Defendant's Lawyer and take me to trial. I was assigned a Lawyer (Olabisi Alabi-Wallace, no longer an associate). She came up with the worst road map to my trial, and it took her two weeks to complete it, then she quit the day she emailed to me. George VanDuzer who just got promoted to partner was shady by advising me on how to reimburse fraudulent fees by using lower paid clerks without providing accounting proof. In the time lapse between lawyers, I had to deal with Olabisi Alabi-Wallace's clerk (Sherifat Magbabe). She lost track of my documents, and I had to tell her my responses were submitted at least three different times in the portal. My new Lawyer Jared Rabel was an upgrade from Olabisi but that diminished as time when on. George and Jared had a lot of plans to correct my case, but all fell through and my case went to trial with only the complaint and evidence I originally submitted. I had to request updates even after I was told that I would get a weekly update. The straw that broke the Camel's back was the response from accounting (Jaquetta Waters) when she called me a liar by stating that she didn't believe Jared told me how much he needed me to update my escrow account. I immediately asked for a meeting with a supervisor. A meeting was set up with (Alexis Sisolak). Alexis provided some clarity by finally updating my account financially with the discounts and review of billing complaints. By this time my case was dismissed without prejudice. It was suggested that I could move my case to the Virginia Office. Alexis referred me and we spoke with a Lawyer in the Virginia office, and he stated he could take on the case and file it before he went on vacation as refiling my case was time sensitive, but JC Law office Maryland didn't send my files to the Virginia lawyer in time. I called Alexis after sending her emails and she stated, " Do you know how many emails I get a day?". Her attitude shifted. I was done. I sought another Law Firm. I called JC Law to terminate my contract and that was another "Hell Hole". Jared's clerk (Bijan Olexo) didn't know the process. I called the accounting department and after speaking with Jaquetta Waters, I did as she requested. I sent an email to Jared and cc'd Alexis, George, Bijan, Jaquetta. It took over a month to get my refund. My thought was JC Law sure takes money faster than giving it back. Zachery Groves (Partner) offered to take on my case Pro Bono after we spoke verbally about my issues with the JC Law. "Not a chance in Hell!" JC Law knew my case, and I had to battle them for information like pulling candy from a baby. I submitted a request for an Audit and key figures were on that email and it still didn't happen until I requested to talk with a supervisor. Lawyers go to school to talk legal jargon in the courts. It's an unfair advantage to society and JC Law took advantage of me. I even submitted their client concerns response in my audit request. I heard crickets! I switched Law Firms, and it is like night and day as far as communication and professionalism. I get the respect that a client disserves, and I do not feel overcharged/over billed and my case has progressed rapidly. JC Law reminds me of the movie the Firm. Who are the real criminals, the ones that commit the crime or the ones that charge for representation in the Legal System? There are plenty of Law Firms out there. Steer clear or abandon ship on this Firm! Hoorah, Go Navy!

After thoroughly searching for a reputable family law attorney specializing in custody and child support i made the decision to hire Zachary Groves. Initially, his associate Adam Krueger led my case and I was not satisfied. Mr. Groves stepped in and took over and an excellent and fair agreement was agreed upon. The firm has been understanding with my specific unique financial position. I want to thank Zachand his team as well for all the hard work and time that went into this unique case. I highly recommend the JC Law Firm for any legal issues.

Do not, I repeat do not hire this firm, read the 1 star reviews, I certainly do not trust the good reviews. The operative word to describe this firm is scam or money grab. I requested to end engagement and 8 months later I still have no refund. First they scheduled an appointment with an attorney, meeting was supposed to be by phone a 3pm, I call in and they tell me it was supposed to be at 2pm. I do not here from them for about a month when they call me saying that I had to pay an additional $1,500. So then I start to review the billing and the have charges like " file review and call client to schedule a meeting" -$105. "Updated case and client spreadsheet; reviewed file re: same" $70. Several charges about updating a spreadsheet I have never seen, what are they updating if no one even spoke to me? So I called to ask what these charges are and to provide proof that said work was even performed, nothing. All I was told was the attorney assigned to my case resigned and I was assigned a new attorney. More bills came with charges for phone calls, "Teams message from Jaquetta, Meeting the SB to discuss what to do about this case, told SB to ask client to send a written message to close the Case" the charge for that $105. I paid a retainer, and never even got to speak to an attorney. No legal services provided this is just a billing operation, all these charges seem geared at using up the full retainer. $50 for a voicemail message even after I stated they should cease any work. No proof any work was done. Keep your money this place will rob you. Editing again to make sure peopl see it.

i used this firm to get visitation rights for my kids. I paid them over $20,000 and they never did a damn thing for me. The day we were supposed to appear in court, they did not show. Then, the months that followed as we waited for the next court date was months away. You know what they did, billed for thousands of dollars every month until I rad out money. I see this firm as a swindler they should be reported. $20,000 and I got nothing Nothing, not even a day in court. Shameful because I had to use my Mom's credit card. I am extremely disappointed with all the staff, especially with Zachary Groves. They didn’t provide me service and yet still made me pay first. I still haven’t gotten my $2000 refund. and I have called multiple times, each time got denied. It’s been two months since they have been ignoring my calls and emails. They told me I was in the priority list, till this day they haven’t called me back or have emailed me at all. There’s no reason why they should be holding my $2000. I have also called my bank to dispute these charges, but they said that they can’t because it’s blocked by them. I have called Zachary Groves. He said he was gonna call me back three times and he never did. I will be reporting Zachary Groves to The Bar at once. This is nonsense

The services provided by the firm were great. The attorneys are communicative and detailed orientated. I would definitely seek them out for any future legal needs.
