Don’t waste your money! My brother hired this firm for my mother’s probate. Four years later and thousands of dollars already paid, I am still finding mistakes!

Please be cautious when seeking legal representation from this firm. There are many others that are quicker and charge less. My case is a small probate case, and although probate cases are lengthy in general, the amount of time it has taken to send simple letters is ridiculous. Keep in mind when you retain an attorney, YOU are paying high dollar for a service, so make sure you get your money's worth.

Very knowledgeable and friendly

I was astonished to learn the team I hired for probate representation did absolutely nothing to help my case. They completely ignored my legal, valid claims to the estate and seemed more interested in maintaining a cordial relationship with opposing counsel. They wrote one letter and then did nothing but send huge bills. Whenever I complained about their lack of effort and follow through, they said they had “many other clients” and made my concerns seem trivial. This firm and their probate lawyers are inexcusably callous and indifferent. I will be filing a malpractice claim because I suffered damages as a result of their incompetence. If you hire them, don’t expect to accomplish anything!

I requested to seek legal advice regarding “late fees” that were excessive and applied daily during pandemic. I was not requesting representation, just legal advice. I had spoke with Xavier W. Staggs regarding concern. He requested the name of owner or property manager. He asked multiple times, which then continued asking for details. After receiving all the information, he stated “I don’t know them and I can’t give you legal advice over the phone.” Not even 20 minutes later, I receive a phone call from the landlord, and based on the conversation, and the manager stating “if it is because of the late fees, I can work with you.” I know he had contacted her, because I had spoke with her a couple days before as a follow up. So she has no reason to call right away again after I had informed her arrangement and details. I feel the reason for him contacting her, is because he saw it as a financial opportunity, considering he represents Realtors and property owners. After filing a complaint with the legal board. I receive a response from him, he contacted the landlord during the process of complaint and investigation and had her type, that she did not speak to him prior to that date. Not only did he violate confidentiality rights, he committed malpractice and is using his benefits as a lawyer to cover up his intentional mistake. I highly do not recommend speaking with this lawyer or this specific firm about any information as he will contact the other party directly if it is more beneficial for himself and the firm.
