Christopher comes across more as a salesperson than a lawyer. During our initial conversation, he assured me he could handle my custody case, and I paid a $5,000 retainer based on that confidence. However, on the day of the hearing, it became clear he was not prepared. He did not even know the details of my current custody order and was reviewing it just minutes before we went into court. That level of unpreparedness is extremely unprofessional, especially in a family court matter where the stakes are high. It also seemed that he was more focused on another case he had scheduled the same day than on mine. That is unacceptable given the time, trust, and money I invested in his services. If the firm is unable to properly handle custody cases, they should not be taking them on. Clients should not be placed in a position where they feel their case is an afterthought. I am open to updating this review if I receive a clear and reasonable explanation as to why he was unprepared and why I, as the client, was expected to handle tasks that I hired legal counsel to manage.
