Very bad attorney in my opinion. Never did file what is referred to as an "At Issue Memorandum." I allege she filed the initial disclosures about four years late and now I may be sanctioned. Most likely the recent good reviews are fake. Don't walk away. Run away.

Josefina is a strong and smart attorney. I felt very comfortable and confident with her on my side. She is great at what she does providing excellent service. She was also able to accommodate my needs and helped guide me throughout the process. The value of her knowledge and experience really made a difference for what needed to be presented. I would recommend her services. When I was comparing to the other attorneys, her rates were extremely reasonable and affordable. I am glad I had her in my corner.

Avoid at all cost. I just asked for the remaining of my $5000. to be returned. They have been lying to me for months. They told me 2 months ago they filed the paperwork to finish my child custody case. When I called the court today I confirmed no papers have been filed. I tried to finish the case myself but due to them not catching an error in the proof of service they helped me with, my papers were denied. My ex was willing to sign an agreement but he said that he never received one. They assured they sent out two, which now I believe was a lie. My child missed going to pre-k because of their lies and incompetence. I could only imagine if I need them to go to trail. There office is always closed and they never answer their phone calls. The only way to communicate seems to be through text messages when they answer them.

If you want to stress and have the person you're supposed to trust, gaslight you. Then go ahead and spend your money here. Nothing but minimal effort and no care for the client here. Everything negative people are saying is true. Ineffective, lazy, and has not fight in her. I'm willing to bet most of these positive reviews are her friends and or fake. Look at the timeline of her review. See how she gets a horrible review and then multiple people come in to give 5 stars. All while she hadn't had a review before that bad review in a very long time.

Valdez law help me in so many ways they look out for you and take care of you she was such a good lawyer in Ramona was always on top of everything I had a very long divorce but they were always there at my side I would recommend them to anyone they are very courteous and professional

There is nothing but great things to say about Mrs. Valdez and her office. Very knowledgeable, timely, determined, and communicative. We hired her to help our family with a custody battle. I've sat on this review for 4 months now. Initially, I wasn't going to say anything, but I've been suffering and struggling. I was with JL for almost 4 years for a divorce. My marriage was only 2 years. Things started off great, and there were wins. When we finally had an agreement after about a year and we submitted the judgment. Mind you, i was being dragged around outside of court and scrapping by in another country because my ex had to be supported even though I had full custody. Jl talked me out of filing for support. Said it looks bad if you're going for custody and money at the same time. The final judgment was kicked back 5 times! If that wasn't bad enough JL office took at least 3 months every time to make corrections. And the corrections were never 100%. I was blind and just signed things because the goal was to get it over with. During this whole process I was still being harassed and abused by my stbx. JL just kept telling me to deal with it and I'm almost divorced. Well.. the 5th time the judgement was kicked back all hell broke loose. My ex filed a bunch of stuff dragging out the process another year and I recieved services from someone who obviously didn't want to be in court or on my case. She doesn't check her employees work and files things at the last minute. How do I know she doesn't check her employees work? Because they messed up the number BIG time and miscalculated my exs income, they just took the other lawyers word for it! It was soo crazy that I had to start crunching numbers because what I was ordered to pay made absolutely no sense! Instead of paying like 220 for child support... I'm paying almost 900 a month for cs, ss and arrears. Mind you i already supported my ex the first year! Make it make sense people! I told her all the things my ex was lying on and it just went in one ear and out the other. I waited 3 months after the last hearing before I finally gave up and found a different atturny. I have been hemorrhaging money between bills, court orderd payments, and new atturny fees. Why is my divorce taking 4 years when I was only married 2?! She doesn't listen, getting ahold of her is a nightmare, getting copies of documents you or opposition field is a whole thing in itself. Just stay away people. Everything people have said in these reviews is true. My only regret is that I was too stupid to move on sooner. I was blindly loyal and I am paying for it. She won't argue your case or try to convince the judge. She will just file motions, responses and the say it is what it is. You do not want this.

I just want to say a huge thank you to Attorney Valdez and her amazing team for everything they did for me during my divorce and custody battle. These past two years have been so tough. My ex was doing everything he could to make life miserable for me and my kids, and I felt like I was at rock bottom. But thanks to Ms. Valdez she truly cared about my case, I got custody of my children and now finally divorced. I’m so grateful to Ms Valdez for giving me hope when I thought I had none. She truly cared about my case, and I’ll always be thankful for what she did for me and my kids.

She won every battle for me. The whole staff is so comforting, caring, and they have your back. I would highly recommend her. She is an amazing lawyer and has an amazing team. I am in a way better place in life because of them.

JL Valdez, is an incompetent lawyer that should not be practicing law, I have read so many bad reviews about J Valdez, and every bad review that she gets , I Read and feel the same way. Her Staff is more knowledgeable than her. This woman the moment I paid her a Retainer, she did what she wanted to do, Nothing! Her Legal assistant did all her work. In my Opinion.........Worst Lawyer ever. Shows up late to court, never goes over anything prior to court so she ends up standing there staring at you like it's your fault she's not ready. Rarely calls you back you only hear from her team and they know less then she does. Don't waste your money.
