John E. Dorsey Attorney At Law

I’ve yet to speak to Mr. Dorsey, however I’ve spoke to his secretary several times. She is very experienced not only is she a secretary she has many years experience as a paralegal. I would imagine she is an invaluable asset to Mr. Dorsey. She also makes me feel as though my needs and concerns are important to her and she genuinely cares. I can imagine that is difficult with a large case load and vast scope of practice. That said I plan to continue to enlist Mr. Dorsey and his team for my legal needs. (Update) John and his staff are excellent! If you want a no nonsense attorney to represent you to the best of his ability look no further.

Mr. Dorsery is a nice guy. I paid him to do some work for me. I needed more legal work done and the secretary hung up me. The man must not need the work to keep her around. Shameful. That was ugly of her.

Attorney Dorsey's secretary, arranged for an assisted closing on a property and sat at the end of the table, Talking shop with an attorney friend. Gave no instructions to the buyer or anyone else. Very unpleasant Person.

I called initially for deed help. The receptionist was not very pleasant and her tone was un-professional. Though she did give advice in a knowledgeable manner. Too much to put here. I canceled the request for the deed due to not knowing how things were going to go with my MIL. Called back today to get it done again and the receptionist was totally rude,.uncaring,.down right mean. I don’t know how they stay in business. Very very un-professional.

Doesn’t deserve one star. 🤬 I just called the office of John Dorsey and spoke with an EXTREMELY RUDE woman. She offered a date to come in and I asked, “not until then?” and in an abrasive tone she said, “ that’s just next week what do you want?” I told her she didn’t have to be so rude and she told me to find another attorney then hung up on me!!!!!!! I hope Mr. Dorsey is aware of his receptionist’s lack of professionalism and hateful demeanor.

I needed wills and powers of attorney prepared for my parents and this firm is small but mighty. They got it done right the first time. Very knowledgeable. Not sure why the bad reviews, but this is a small firm and it’s Charleston not New York.

They were not interested in taking my case. But referred my to his son at his own firm. He would take my case nut I was to pay 1st for a consultation. And second pay quite a bit if he was going to take it to court. To me that means he doesn't have a lot of faith in his own ability. This is just an opinion. No facts, just phone calls and My opinion.

This guy is a hack. He charges for a consultation and doesn't do anything except start talking about research that I already looked up and how much he wants to charge for work I already did. Steer clear of this guy. He is a waste of time and money.
