Jack handled both cases for me and my boyfriend after we were rear ended by a drunk driver while traveling through Ohio. He made the overwhelming process of a lawsuit simple and was very knowledgeable in a situation that we knew nothing about, which was very reassuring for us when we originally thought we would end up with no form of justice for what we went through. We are also very appreciative for how patient he was with any communications whether it was cell service issues between states or how busy we were while trying to rebuild our lives after a near-fatal car accident. It is one thing to be a good attorney, but it is a great skill to be able to handle a case where the clients aren't even from your state. If I knew then what I know now….. I would have ran from Jack Hilgeman. He was slick and smooth talking and would confuse me with spreadsheets during a confusing and mentally challenging time trying to figure out my situation. He mansplained and overtalked the whole time and when I dug deeper I found that he had left his previous law office under suspicious circumstances and was being sued by them. I told him to NOT take any money from my insurance because the accident was not my fault. $10,000 was taken from State Farm that I ended up paying back and all I got for my questions was doublespeak and more spreadsheets. I was at a vulnerable time and he took that to his advantage and used it. Run away and find someone that you can trust…. I wish I had know then

One star is too many for this attorney. Mr. Higleman was my Guardian Ad Litem and his final report was filled with inaccuracies and flat out lies. It was clear Mr. Higleman made up his mind about my case before the first interview and his report reflected that.
