John R. Williams is BRILLIANT, and has saved my life TWICE! Twenty years ago he helped me win a half-million dollar settlement against my employer in a discrimination lawsuit. With this life-changing result I was able to purchase a home and marry my wife. Recently he helped overturn an embarrassing and unwarranted arrest, removing it from my records completely. This allowed me to maintain my current employment and means of living. He is still to this day as razor-sharp as he ever was. He is the smartest person I have ever met, and I consider myself lucky to have been by his side in court and behind the scenes. The judge in the recent case called him "an all-time great," and made it very clear that I had received the most favorable possible outcome due to John's care.

No stars--google made me put at least one star to be able to write a review. I called to inquire whether J.R. Williams and Company would be interested in helping with a case of negligence and police/emergency personnel misconduct that occurred at my residence, leaving my significant other in need of several surgeries to correct the damage inflicted. I left a brief message that succinctly described what happened, not in enough detail for anyone to adequately assess our case. I called back the next day hoping to discuss the event in more detail, and was met with abrupt rudeness by John Williams. He quickly stated that I had no case in a very demeaning tone, almost reprimanding, and that furthermore he was not taking on any new cases. I was advised to contact John Williams by another reputable law firm, who thought my case had merit, but they did not specialize in what I was looking for in an attorney. After my brief interaction with John R. Williams and Assoc. I was very put off and would not recommend this firm to anyone.

John is a great lawyer. There are few lawyers, if any, in this country that have tried as many civil rights cases to verdict as he has. He is knowledgeable and generous with his time. He is a fierce advocate for his clients no matter how meek or mighty.

This guy is the real deal, he took over two of my cousin Brian’s discrimination cases (1 federal and the other a state) both were resolved in 2 months. John is a veteran of the system, reply’s and answers the phone and emails punctually not like other attorneys that you used rarely hear from once you pay. Attorney John Williams is top shelf, I wish we had more like him …. He’s old school loyal 60s passionate.

My husband was being railroaded in a 3 year long neglected CHRO employment discrimination case. I called around and Mr. Williams was one of few willing to speak to me over the phone without any payment. He continued to look over the case and answered my questions via email. He agreed to take the case for a fee but admitted to me that staying with the CHRO was probably the best option at this time due to the state filing statue of limitations and federal being the only option left, he could've taken my money and ran with it. Even informing me that the CHRO mediators are not attorneys and don't always give the correct information was so vital, I can't even express how important that one comment was as it forced me to look into everything my husband was being told by the CHRO and found countless mistakes that we were able to fight against and ultimately settled the case on our own for 8 times the amount that was originally offered. I very much appreciate all the time and honesty of attorney John Williams, he went above and beyond and for no reason at all other than pure kindness and it really means so much to me. Thank you Sir

Attorney Williams is horrible, treats his clients terribly. Just takes your money, never responds to you, is very insensitive, and calls you a horrible human being for your crimes. He should be stripped his license. Better not call John!!!! Bum

Everyone needs to stay away from Attorney Williams. I believe he is an agent of State of Connecticut. He withheld evidence from me in an attempt to help the State’s Attorney. He simply collects money from you, files continuances, and cuts a deal with the prosecution at a cost to you. I do not know what Williams was in the past but he’s surely seems a shadow of himself now. I don’t know how many others have been harmed by him but it has to end.

Attorney Williams is corrupted and in bed with opposing counsel that represents police in cases of civil rights violations. He will not hesitate to throw your case in order to gain the favor of the state attorneys. He may have once been a fighter for justice, but he has sadly been corrupted and is now nothing more than a thief who should not be permitted to practice law.

John Williams asked for a $5000 retainer after telling me that I had an open and shut case. I paid him. He did nothing. His excuses were endless. I lost my job, my health and health insurance, my house and all its contents. He is a thief.

Attny. Williams is a Lier, greedy, and was recommended by Attny Esposito another Lier. If more than 1 person calls you a lier, you are1. He told me the same thing. Will get case dismissed, will sue. Charges 5,000 for Lawsuits. Later to find excuses not to move forward with Civil suit. I could of saved 1,000 dollars The majority of these Attnys in CT are the worse.
