Having recently returned to the Colorado Springs area after leaving active duty, I set out to have a previous custody agreement amended. The search ended when I spoke with Joi Kush and her paralegal, Kristie Mumma. Throughout the whole process both Joi and Kristie were beyond informative and communicative. With their help, I was able to reach a more than favorable agreement; something I thought would never be attainable. Would highly recommend, and will personally return in the future, if necessary.

I have experienced several family lawyers, none of which provided the service, professionalism and care that this firm provided. I was referred to Joi Kush from a firm in Pueblo that felt they did not have the expertise in the case I was pursing. This after already having attempted using another firm in Pueblo which after a year just gave up and stated I would not win in court. Retired from Federal Service there were some errors in my retirement calculations which created an overpayment to my ex wife. She was awarded part of my retirement benefits in the divorce settlement in 2003, I didn't retire until 2017. Naturally she did not agree and I had to pursue. I retained an attorney from the Washington DC area to serve as a subject matter expert in Federal Retirement. Ms. Kush worked directly with this firm to help better understand the Federal Retirement system, build my case and present it to the Pueblo Courts. I was extremely impressed with the willingness and cooperation with another firm. Not only did we win our case, the Judge obviously felt the case was compelling enough that I was awarded reimbursement of all overpayments, and an order for reimbursement of Ms. Kush's attorney fees, which is rarely done. Without a strong representation I would have been lucky to obtain getting the correction awarded, let alone the back payments and attorney fees. Kristie Mumma, Ms. Kush's Paralegal was outstanding through the process and did not hesitate to make or take calls and emails. She was very personable, knowledgeable and responsive.
