Tony Hernandez was recommended to us as being someone who truly advocates for his clients and after working with him for the last 8 months I can say that is 100% true. He had excellent and prompt communication around our case and I feel he got the best outcome possible for the situation and we appreciate all his hard work.

I subscribed to my employer's MetLife law plan. From my understanding, it offers free consultations with law firms that are a part of this plan. I was connected with Johnson & Pekny, L.L.C.. I was paired with an amazing lawyer who unfortunately decided to take some time for herself. I was then paired with another lawyer, Jaclyn Duffy. She was pleasant initially when we spoke. I had a conversation with her where I had a lot of thoughts going through my head, and I was sharing them with her. I was supposed to sign a document. Due to the conversation I had with her she states she can no longer allow me to sign the documents even though I told her I was ok doing so. This resulted in a turbulent time in my life. Where I needed representation. She told me to contact her if another court date arrived. One did arrive in the mail and I contacted her as instructed. I asked for her advice on the matter. She states to tell the truth and not say anything that will incriminate you. At this point im confused and don't know what to do. The next day i have court i go in alone. The other party's lawyer approaches me and attempts to make a deal with me regarding the situation for which I retained Ms. Duffy for. In court alone being accused of terrible things with no representation. Since I didn't have any representation I couldn't defend myself. I lost the ability to see my child for the first time in my life. I contacted Ms. Duffy the next day to speak with her about what the day before. I told her about the other lawyer approaching me to make custody arrangements. In exchange for agreeing to their civil suit. She only then tells me she doesn't represent me in that fashion. Confusing me even further. Im told ill just have to accept the outcome of the previous day. She tells me that she'll try to work out a custody agreement between the parties. Ms. Duffy and I discuss the times to be presented to the other side. After speaking with my ex. She sent me a screenshot of the times. That Ms. Duffy and i never discussed. I feel as if she was just trying to burn through my retainer. By not communicating with me properly. I'm confused dont know what I've spent over 2 grand on. From the billing notices it states communication. Which was always late and left me more confused.

Tony Hernandez was aAmazing Lawyer professional and business. I was in a messy situation and he got it all resolved and helped me clear my name of what was some very false and damaging allegations. Not only resolving my issue but clearing my name. I would highly recommend him. He actually cared and understood the point t of my name and pride in that and wanting to defend it

Life changing events can be difficult but a stable and professional counsel can make the journey less stressful. Reem Al Zubair is very professional, calm, and responsive. I would highly recommend her as legal counsel.

Might be a good firm, however they are not accepting new clients apparently. Might as well pull their online presence.

This circus is definitely not the place to go for an attorney especially if it’s Darren Pekny! If you’re looking to get a pair of big floppy shoes or a big red nose this is the place to go! He continually stated wrong information because he was too lazy to look through court documents. I watched him literally get proven wrong and lose arguments against a guy who doesn’t even have a law degree. If you want to waste your money this is your guy!

I want to advise anyone looking for an Attorney to go elsewhere before they are highly disappointed.

Where to start! this is a review that's been earned over a 10+ year time frame. I've been represented by Darren and his team on multiple occasions. this last time went to trial. I've never witnessed anything like it. i felt so confident in my representation ,I didn't realize the trial was over. i knew that if anything did not go in my favor, it would NOT have been fault of my legal representation. i wish i could give you guys 100 stars. words cannot describe how grateful i am to have you on my side. thank you for all your help and everything you guys do. Id Recommend Darren to anyone needing legal help. Great to work with and the level of professionalism is unmatched.

0 out of five if it was allowed. No communication skills. They were literally waiting for me to finish talking to impress me with their fancy legalese. Don't waist your time keep looking.

People hear horror stories about awful representations and have experienced frustration, even anger towards their attorneys. I have felt this way about my previous attorneys who represented me in court in the past. But this time, I was fortunate to have met and had an attorney who stood by me, listened to me, understood me, and had compassion for me. Did I win my legal case? No, I didn’t. In family and divorce litigations, no one wins. The parents lose, and the child(dren) involve loses. No one wins in a broken family. But I want to highlight the service and representation I received from my attorney, Jamie Cooper. In my opinion and experience, I thought she was a phenomenal attorney! She is intelligent, knows the legal field well, understands the system, follows up, a quick thinker, and a rational attorney. I have made some suggestions during my legal battle. Jamie heard my voice, concerns, and frustrations. She understood where I was coming from. But instead of giving in to my every single request, she continued to give me wise counsel and led the proceedings the best she could for my good. Some of my observations about Jamie were that she has a good instinct about people. She spoke with our family therapist and used that encounter to guide our next step. It wasn’t what I wanted to hear, but I had to trust her instinct and counsel and believe she had my best interest. I am glad I did! She was wise with her instinct about her opponent- my ex’s attorney. That attorney was no match for my attorney, Jamie Cooper. She knows how to proceed with caution, aggressively, wisely, and rationally. One of the things I liked about Jamie was that she saw me as a person and a loving and good parent. She recognized my aching heart and my longing for my child, and my wanting peace with my ex. Jamie did not take advantage of me like other attorneys would, but I truly felt her sincerity representing me. Attorneys are perceived as heartless and money/power greed. Many attorneys do not have a good reputation. In legal proceedings, you want a wise attorney to represent you and be your voice. But clients also want an attorney that has a heart. An attorney that is still human who feels and cares. Emotional intelligence is also an important factor for me. Again, I was fortunate to have Jamie Cooper as my attorney, voice, and representative. Ms. Jamie Cooper is the absolute best and helped us through a tough period in our life. She went above and beyond my expectation. She informed us in every part of the process and advocated for us in an unprecedented way. I will go back to this firm and specifically Ms. Cooper services again.

Have used this firm for both LLCs I've been a part of. Mr. Johnson has been patient explaining everything we needed to know and Wendy has been prompt and attentive to our questions. Our paperwork was completed in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. We started with another attorney who was good but way too expensive. We also love they are downtown, close to home and work.

If you want a law firm that over charges and doesn’t take ownership of your case- please give this crooked law firm a call. I had an attorney assigned by the courts as a GAL for a custody battle in March of 2019- the attorney and the entire office withheld billing information for the duration of the case and truly did the bare minimum. I was never even given a chance to pay them or discuss billing until almost a year after the case was settled. During this time I was left to assume the courts were paying the remainder or I assumed even the $1400 deposit was enough to cover the bare minimum effort shown by the attorney and her staff. They have failed to provide me a receipt of billable hours, they were not forthcoming with their overpriced services, and they have used their legal proceedings and court relationship as scare tactics into getting paid more rather than discussing the services which they billed and “didn’t get paid for.” Small claims court denied the case originally so they have now hired another law firm to send certified mailings with threats of garnishment. My four attempts to discuss with the billing manager Jenny ended in her stating they can’t speak to me even after agreeing to email me my information to no avail. I have yet to receive an email with my requested information. The information submitted by the attorney in the courts used my exact verbiage from an email I had sent her. Her court report was plagiarized, which at the time benefited my family but now years later I am in a financial battle with them demanding additional monies. They will most certainly take advantage of anyone they can- they are one of the top 5 most hired attorneys office from Douglas county court if that doesn’t say it all. I would not recommend this attorneys office to anyone. I can go on but hopefully you get the point. I’m a huge advocate for the legal process and proceedings allotted to us as humans but when you get someone supposed to be on your side but appointed by the courts- you should know they are going to be deceitful, probably in it for the wrong reasons, and they’ll win because they do it all the time. Lesson learned the hard way.

Worst divorce lawyer I've seen, the case should have been a walk in the park. I would recommend literally any other lawyer.
