Ongoing Ethical Violations, Procedural Abuse, and Active Harm to a Disabled Man I am writing this review based on my direct involvement in an active probate and eviction case in which Joseph Charles represents the estate of my late grandfather. What is happening in this case is not theoretical, historical, or resolved — it is actively causing severe emotional distress, financial devastation, and catastrophic medical risk to my family. In my experience, Mr. Charles’ handling of this matter demonstrates deep ethical concerns, procedural abuse, and alarming professional incompetence. This case involves a contested probate estate with multiple pending disputes, including a verified petition to remove the Personal Representative for misconduct, as well as unresolved issues involving estate mismanagement, medical neglect, and fiduciary violations. Despite these serious legal issues, Mr. Charles is aggressively pursuing an eviction action in Justice Court against an heir who is not a tenant, has no lease, pays no rent, and occupies the property solely to protect and preserve estate assets. There is no landlord–tenant relationship whatsoever, yet eviction court is being weaponized to force removal of heirs while probate disputes remain unresolved. A formal Motion to Dismiss for lack of jurisdiction and procedural defects was filed, raising critical legal failures, including: • Improper and defective service of the statutory 10-day demand to vacate • Misidentification of parties and improper naming of “all occupants” • Jurisdictional defects due to the complete absence of any tenancy relationship • Statutory violations limiting the Personal Representative’s authority while a removal action is pending Despite these fundamental defects, the motion was denied, and a writ of restitution was issued on February 11, 2026, placing my father — a severely disabled man with advanced spinal degeneration, fractures, nerve damage, and failing hip hardware — at immediate risk of homelessness. My father cannot walk, is wheelchair dependent, and suffers constant debilitating pain. Forcing him from his home under these conditions is medically dangerous and potentially irreversible. This eviction is actively causing extreme emotional distress, financial devastation, and irreparable medical harm. To make matters worse, Mr. Charles has repeatedly mischaracterized me as a lawyer or paralegal simply because I am capable of researching statutes and preparing legal documents. I have no legal education or legal training whatsoever. His inability to correctly understand or verify even basic professional distinctions is deeply troubling and reflects a disturbing lack of competence and diligence — especially for an attorney entrusted with complex probate and eviction litigation. This repeated misrepresentation further highlights how little attention he pays to facts, accuracy, and procedural integrity — deficiencies that directly impact vulnerable people in high-stakes legal situations. In my opinion, this case demonstrates a pattern of aggressive litigation tactics, misuse of eviction court, disregard for probate protections, and indifference to human consequences. Eviction court is being used to bypass probate jurisdiction, silence heirs, and force displacement of a medically fragile man, rather than resolve disputes properly through the probate court system. This case is actively ongoing, and the harm is happening right now. I strongly caution anyone considering hiring Joseph Charles to carefully research his litigation practices and history, especially in probate, estate, and eviction matters involving families, medical hardship, and vulnerable individuals.

Well the few times we actually talked to the lawyer he was friendly and helpful; however, the office staff was pretty disorganized, we had to send them the same paper work like 3 times and when we called about a letter we received from the bank the person we tried to speak with was extremely rude and kept interrupting us when we were asking questions. Also we thought it was a little odd that they sent someone from a different lawfirm to "represent" us at our hearing.
