When my son was 11 years old, I attempted to obtain SSI income due to to my son's chronic medical conditions. I gave up after receiving a couple denials. My son was really sick at the time, and the entire process was complicated and very overwhelming. Last year I made the decision to try again. He was now 20 years old and a priority was to obtain income to assist with living and medical needs. Again we received two denials.
