Very disappointing firm. Monica Benson was warm initially when taking on my grandmother's case. But when it came time to take action - crickets. No replies to emails or calls until almost 3-4 weeks later. And even then it was like pulling teeth. When she's in it, I felt she was in it. It's completely understandable that we're not their only client, but we felt far from being a priority. I was also very diligent with requests about billing. I don't believe in excessive costs or rapidly accumulating costs, especially if I can pay along the way. Well after 3-4 months of requesting a status on billing, a reply was received noting how 'she's the worst at billing.' It's pretty worrisome when you actually want to get someone paid, but they won't take the time to get you an invoice. After finally receiving a bill with an accumulated lump sum, I emailed to vent a grievance with the final total and the slow service and communication, and I was met with 'What do you think would be fair?" I don't expect anything for free, and I'm happy to pay anyone for a professional level of service, but I just don't feel we received that. Since I wanted to be done with KBZG and the amount wasn't crazy, I opted to make monthly payments arrangements and they would send a monthly bill. After a while,I noticed those hadn't even been sent, and didn't even bother to follow up due to my frustration with this firm. I recently learned that they were filtered into spam and weren't discovered until recently due to a call from Brenda........ 8 months later!! The communication with this firm is extremely lacking. Expect to wait weeks to a month for a reply to anything. Something that should have taken a few months took almost a year. In short, you deserve an attorney who'll focus on your case and one who has timely communication skills It saddens me to say that I went into this arrangement with lots of hope only to be extremely disappointed. Needless to say, I did find another firm with whom I've been extremely happy.

Mr .Steve is truly an, outstanding attorney With a merit , professionalism and integrity, he is a Nobel admirable character,Thumbs up.

Would give ZERO stars if I could! Steve Katten is the worst lawyer ever. He has spent almost 3 years on our grandmothers estate. Never will take a phone call to answer any questions. Doesn't respond to emails. He is ALWAYS "traveling" and never in the office when we call. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE OFFICE!!!

The whole staff at this firm is very warm and welcoming. Beyond this, the attorneys here know their stuff front to back. You can trust they have your best interest in mind and will be honest and up front with expectations as well.

Monica Benson and the office staff of Katten & Benson are awesome! Monica worked with my parents re: their trusts/wills and now she is our family lawyer as well. She assisted us with compassion when my father passed away and continues to help my family and me with legal matters. I would recommend this office to anyone who needs any legal/financial advice and documents related to end of life, trusts, wills, etc. Everyone is very professional and courteous!
