A Masterclass in Skill and Compassion Despite receiving a favorable verdict, I would be writing this review regardless, as I told Josh I would before the verdict was even rendered — because my appreciation for Kelner & Kelner comes down to two major elements: skill and compassion. Skill: Josh Kelner was absolutely brilliant in the courtroom. The way he navigated trial — calm, collected, and precise — while still delivering hard-hitting facts was nothing short of masterful. Watching him work was more fascinating than any courtroom drama on television. His poise and preparation were extraordinary, and it was clear the jury respected every word he said. Watching someone devote so much time and effort on your behalf, was an indescribable feeling. Compassion: Every person I had the great opportunity to interact with at the firm was kind, patient, and genuinely caring — from the receptionist to the paralegals to the senior attorneys. Josh, Robert, Candi, Emil, Ming, Samantha, and the entire staff made me feel supported every step of the way. During a five-day trial, Josh must have asked how I was doing or feeling a thousand times. That level of humanity in such a high-stress environment meant the world to me. Kelner & Kelner exemplify what every personal injury firm should aspire to be — skilled, ethical, and deeply compassionate. It has been an absolute honor and privilege to be represented by Kelner & Kelner.

Coming across and hiring Todd Strier of Kelner and Kelner was one of the best things that has ever happened to me in life! I was involved in a near-fatal accident while working for the NYC Department of Sanitation in August of 2018. That led to me having cervical spine surgery and permanent nerve damage. Todd was the first and only attorney I reached out to, knowing by word of mouth he is the best around! Todd answered my call and within the next couple of days was at my home, assuring me he would do everything he can to make sure he would get it done. I felt from that moment I had made the right decision by making that call. Throughout the litigation process and recovery, Todd always stayed in contact, assuring me everything would be okay. Long story short, the whole Kelner and Kelner team took care of me and my family for a lifetime. I not only was awarded a generous settlement, I also have a 3/4 tax-free pension for life thanks to Todd and his hard work!

My experience with Kelner & Kelner has been rewarding both emotionally and financially. Their accomplishments for my family and myself has been very satisfying. Brian Hurley, was diligent and able to deal with each hurdle as they put in front of him. His ability to work through the other parties filing bankruptcy and dealing with a Worldwide pandemic, delaying all court proceedings and to make matters worse, and a client with no patiences. I highly recommend this extremely professional, very caring, Law Firm. Five stars is not enough.

I can't stress enough how pleased I have been with Monica Merrill. Right from our first meeting, her expertise on the case's material, her composed demeanor and private counsel with regard to proceedings, and then getting a decidedly acceptable settlement agreement despite limitations stemming from the case's inherent challenges. As though that wasn't enough, she didn't stop there. Even AFTER the settlement - that's AFTER firm was paid - she still (unsolicited) went to bat for us in getting postmortem medical claims reduced, despite having no financial incentive to further lift a finger. Who even does that? Despite the unfortunate events necessitating the matter, in all it was the outcome my (late) mother would have wanted, so I can't thank Monica enough.

Where to begin so much good things to say about this law firm. Everyone you speak to is nice and helpful they communicate so well and alway keep in touch with everything that’s going on in your case. Hi, I had a serious ankle injury. I was introduced to Kelner and Kelner and had a great discussion with lawyer Emil Sammuels of what to expect. He was very informative and explained every step they would take. He assisted me when I was in financial need with the best lenders and was able to get a great pay out deal once my case was completed. In 2018 I had a very serious injury and was advised by friends/family to seek legal counsel. I vetted 3 other law firms and I felt the most comfortable with Kelner & Kelner. They were extremely caring, thorough, and were transparent that my case would take several years and would be very difficult. Despite the 4+ years everyone at the office were extremely professional and responsive. From the front of house staff to my own lawyer (Josh Kelner), I felt as if Kelner & Kelner always had my best interest in mind. After 4+ yrs and a lot of work put in we received a settlement that was beyond our expectation. My family and I are extremely thankful to everyone at the office and the entire staff. This would not have happened without the expertise of the law office.

Emil Samuels was a delight to deal with. He made sure my brother's cases were handled with nothing but precision, accuracy and care. He was very professional and knowledgeable every step of the way. I contacted Monica Merrill by recommendation from another office. She asked me to send her multiple documentsBand pictures about my case. We also talked over the phone. When we talked I realized that she didn’t even look at the documents. She came across as a bit cold but still seemed like she wanted to pursue the case. Merrill asked me to create the timeline of events and send it to her. I did that instantly and never heard back from her. I sent two follow up emails and called her secretary. Merrill literally ghosted me. I didn’t see a reason for that as I have always been polite and also professional. Everything she asked for I collected, labeled properly and placed into separate folders for her to easily examine. If she for whatever reason didn’t want the case, she should have told me that. I wasted more than five weeks on her. I found this highly unprofessional which is why I don’t recommend anyone to deal with her.

Everyone at kelner and kelner was all of this above and more I enjoyed working with them and they won my case and they cared for me and my family like we were their family I thank them very much if you need a lawyer I recommend kelner and kelner

Spoke the law firm regarding a malpractice case. Wish I could move fast but I have a toddler at home and an injured child. Reached out to them numerous times to proceed and not even the decency of returning my calls. It's almost like they were avoiding me. Thanks Monica and Janet. After posting this review I receive a notice saying they will not represent me. I got the hint when you avoided me. Thanks for your not so professionalism!
