I contacted Kemmy Law Firm and spoke with Thomas Kemmy about the death of my step-father at Hendrick Hospital. Though I do not agree with their decision not to take our case, I was impressed with talking to Mr. Kemmy. He was the first lawyer to actually speak with me and he explained why our case would be extremely hard to persue through the courts and that if the case failed to be proven then the cost would fall back on the family. HE took time to fully explain how Texas protects hospitals and that a drug related death is very hard to prove. Though I feel that hospital should be sued, Mr. Kemmy spoke, explained all things clearly to me and did not discourage us from speaking with another attorney----BUT he did do what noone else had, he fully expained what had to be proven for a court case in Texas. Yes, I would recommend a person speak with him if they feel they need a lawyer. It is very clear they know what they are talking about and are not afraid to speak with a person or take time to explain the court proceedings.
