Avoid this firm at all costs. They are only after your money. Working with Kennedy Hunt P.C. was one of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made. From day one, they made big promises, acted like they cared, and gave me hope—only to completely disappear once they got paid. They dragged my case out with minimal effort, and it quickly became clear they were not fighting for me at all. Communication was almost nonexistent unless they needed more money. Every step of the way, I had to chase them down for answers, only to get vague responses or none at all. I started to question whether they even read the documents I gave them. They talk a lot about civil rights and justice, but from my experience, that’s just marketing. What they actually care about is billing hours and getting retainers. They had no passion, no urgency, and absolutely no integrity. Once they had my money, I was treated like a nuisance. I was left to handle most of the stress alone while they sat back and let my case fall apart. These are not people you want on your side. They will take your money, give you false confidence, and then abandon you when it matters most. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. Find a real attorney, someone who cares about your case.

My daughter has multiple severe disabilities. Kennedy Hunt Law represented my daughter and our family in two separate cases. Both cases involved my daughter’s access to appropriate services. The first was for FAPE (free appropriate education) at the school district level and the second case was for services that my daughter requires at the adult services level. I would highly recommend Kennedy Hunt, P.C. They represented our organization (IAG) in a Federal lawsuit against a Central Illinois city that violated the Fair Housing Act. The city used discriminatory zoning ordinances to force three men with intellectual disabilities to move out of their home that they were leasing for over two years. Kennedy Hunt, P.C. and US Department of Justice; Office of Civil Rights won the case in Federal District Court. BECAUSE of the work of Kennedy Hunt, P.C. people with disabilities all over the country will not be subject to discriminatory zoning laws. They can live freely in their community of choice!! They lost my case with nothing to show but a massive bill. They said they would win, Sarah Jane Hunt does a excellent job of running the bill up and leading you on. Fake promises were made and they intentionally lead me on to believe they would win my case for me. Extremely disappointing experience legally and financially devastating.

I deeply regret hiring Tom Kennedy and Sarah Jane Hunt, whose handling of my case was nothing short of catastrophic. They lured me in with promises that costs would be "in the thousands, not tens of thousands" and assured me of victory, claiming they wouldn’t take my case unless they could secure a full refund of my expenses. Instead, they delivered an abysmal failure, and I was slapped with an exorbitant bill of over $27,000 that they wanted fully paid with in a month. Their business tactics were downright predatory. After I had already paid well over $10,000, they blindsided me mere days before a crucial hearing with a demand for an outrageous increase in fees, threatening to abandon my case if I didn’t comply. This strategic cornering left me powerless and betrayed at the eleventh hour. Furthermore, dealing with Sarah Jane Hunt, who doubles as the office finance manager, was an ordeal in itself. Her demeanor was not just unprofessional; it was aggressively rude. She held financial details hostage, wielding them like a weapon, demanding arbitrary sums on her whims without any clear breakdown or rationale. Their office was a black hole where transparency was none existent, riddled with undisclosed, hidden fees from the start. This wasn’t just an expensive legal foray; it was a financial and emotional plunder that has left my family in ruin. The repercussions of their mishandling have been severe, robbing my son of his education and empowering a school system that now stands unchallenged. Engaging with this firm was by far the worst decision I've ever made, plunging us into a deeper crisis than we could have ever anticipated. Engage them at your peril. Your response is surprising. At what point did it seem that I was 'happy' with losing the case and the dire consequences it had on my son's education, after battling the school for over a year? Each attempt I've made to reach out for clarification and resolution has only resulted in an escalating bill, now exceeding $27,000. I've specifically requested Sarah to discuss this matter to rectify the situation, but my attempts have been met with silence or dismissal. I've been more than fair in my approach, yet there seems to be no genuine effort on your part to address my grievances or make this right. The school broke the law and did illegal homebound for over a year you said. Which you did nothing for, being a Attorney you should be able to enforce some sort of law.
