I am not to happy with the state on a refile and I will write to them regarding this. This trail would have been much larger if it wasn't for Diddy and Karen Read cases ending same time. I watched most of the CT v Valle case on court tv and wanted to shout out to you for saving a kid who would have otherwise been sent away for the rest of his life, just because of an overzealous racist prosecution and because he made some bad choices, including trying to help a friend, DaSilva, and because he was unable to understand the consequences of accepting the knife from Snyder, who may have given him the knife to get revenge for the damage done to his car. You out-lawyered the prosecuting attorney who was smug, unprofessional in his closing and who misrepresented the facts. Using cross you showed how those kids were coached by the state and how their testimony was self-serving. Kudos to you and to the jury who saw through it all and did the right thing. Thank god there are lawyers like you out there doing justice for vulnerable people like Raul Valle. It made me feel like there is justice, at least in this situation.

His defence, his closing arguments in the Raul Valle case were superb. I would want Kevin Smith on my side.

Watched the entirety of the Raul Valle trial and attorney Kevin Smith was beyond superb. He was extremely persuasive and clear about the events that occurred on that tragic night. He has a gift of being able to explain the complexities of the law in such an absorbable way for your average juror. I’m a current law student and I aspire to be the type of litigator that attorney Smith exemplifies. I live in Iowa, but I watched the Raul Valle trial on television. Great job! If I ever feel like I want to get in some kind of trouble I will move to Connecticut to do it so I can hire you as my attorney. You defended Raul in the best way. I watched it all and the jury got it right. You could literally see the relief and stress leave Raul's body when he was found not guilty. I'm so glad you won.

I may be misusing this feature because I've never had Mr. Smith as an attorney. But the five stars is deserved. What a masterclass three-plus years capped off with the last three weeks. Watching the trial of Raul Valle, I'm sorry for the death and injuries to those involved.. Congratulations on behalf of Mr Valle, hopefully now this young man can move forward with his life..I wish him the best..I had a problem with the immunity of the others and the fact he was protecting himself and a friend..I'm 68 and I'd to this day defend myself and those close..
