Today, while looking for Mr. Klein's address, I was surprised to see a complaint that he charges for his services upfront. I think I've known Mr. Klein for approximately two decades, and find him a man of integrity, intelligence, civility, and knowledge of the law. I don't think his office protocol in asking for estimated services to be paid upfront is unique to the legal profession. There are personal injury attorneys, whose custom is to take a case without payment upfront, if you signed a contract that they will receive a large portion of the favorable outcome if favorable.
Great place to rest and get a snack
Very nice guy until he found out I had no money to pay him up front. Then his whole attitude changed. I am and have been in dire need of legal help. But none will offer unless you have money. I truly don't think it would break any attorney to help someone now and then for free. Especially when you're very ill and disabled and make very little money. I've been cheated by family members since our mom died 9 months ago. I desperately need help to fight them and their con man attorney.
