Negative 2 star review I regret hiring this law firm and working with Jaycee Webb. As a 56-year-old man going through a divorce, I needed competent legal support, but what I received was far from satisfactory. Initially, I retained this firm for $5,000, with the understanding that my primary concern was to address a protective order against me before any work on the divorce proceedings. Unfortunately, Jaycee failed to issue a counter-protective order. This negligence allowed my wife to pile on numerous orders against me, compounding my troubles instead of alleviating them. The representation was minimal at best. Jaycee attended only one mediation session for me and provided no other legal advocacy. Her excuses for not receiving responses from the opposing counsel were frustrating and unacceptable. Eventually, I felt compelled to halt all work until I found new representation, which I should have done much sooner. To make matters worse, it was evident that Jaycee was unprepared during the mediation, demonstrating a complete lack of professionalism. My new attorneys from Kauffman and Kauffman managed to correct her mishandlings in just one month, achieving results that Jaycee couldn't. They described my situation as having "handed them a dead carcass," which highlights just how poorly my case was handled by her. Jaycee also had the audacity to charge me $4,700 for no emails she sent to me with excuses that she couldn’t get anything done. She has also put a lien on my house for $4700. I should be able to take her to small claims court or have some kind of legal recourse. If anyone has any advice for me, I would welcome it. My experience with Jaycee has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I will ensure my complaints are shared widely across all possible platforms to warn others. Save yourself the frustration and find a more competent attorney.

Kris did an outstanding job helping my daughter get divorced from a very vindictive, mentally ill husband. He just couldn't stop fighting, launching several motions and appeals. We went through hearings before judges on each and came out awards of attorney fees and contempt charges against my daughters X. He finally settled. Kris was stellar.

Kris took over 30-K from me in less than a year. When I needed him the most, he asked for more money after realizing I didn’t have it. He sold me down the river, making a terrible deal with my ex-wife’s attorney! He is CRAZY EXPENSIVE!!! It was constantly more money, more money, more money, and no matter how much you have spent with him, he will not finish your case if you can not come up with MORE MONEY (like 5-K at a time).

It was terrible, I would never recommend this person. When I had my mediation I felt as though he was defending my ex and it appeared the mediator did as well. I paid a lot of money for 0 results! How is the law supposed to be 50/50 if u are allowing my ex to get whatever she wants. She is the one who left the marriage to be with someone else. I have never been or felt so disappointed and disrespected by an attorney that should be defending you. I wish I could get my money back!!! Never again will I make that mistake. I felt like he was using me for money but not doing his job. I felt very cheated by this situation it was really bad!!! He is totally way overpriced for the work he did for me. I basically handed him all the things he needed and he charged me a huge amount for nothing. Very dishonest and very unorganized. He was defending my ex rather than defending me when I was the one paying him. I would never recommend him to anyone. Shady on details of exactly what they supposedly did on my case. I guess they can do that if the behavior is never corrected. I was very unhappy with my case. I would never use this firm again. The dishonesty is so disturbing and distasteful. The refund he gave me was just another slap in my face. I paid him a lot of money and he did nothing.

Truly a bizarre experience. We paid our $3000 retainer to file a Motion to Enforce with the courts in a child support case. We received an invoice for over $1200 before the motion had even been filed. Then our lawyer up and left the firm without any warning whatsoever a week after taking my case. Apparently he just decided Family Law wasn't for him... you can read into that however you want. Either they employed someone unstable, unreliable, and uncommitted to a very sensitive line of work, or he saw something he morally didn't agree with and felt he had to leave in a hurry... I don't know. Either way it was a concerning reflection of the firm in general. Unbeknownst to me they assigned me to a different lawyer. There was a communication breakdown relaying this information to me and I ended up finding out my original lawyer was no longer at the firm when I couldn't find him on their website anymore. Did I mention that this was three weeks after my original lawyer said in our consultation that my Motion to Enforce needed to be filed right away? Still hadn't happened... They offered me a third lawyer after the first two lawyer's actions left me scratching my head. However, I told them I'd pay the $275 for the hour long consultation with the initial lawyer, but that my confidence in their abilities to represent me in something as critical as family law was shaken. I felt like the remainder of my retainer should be refunded since the Motion to Enforce was never actually filed as promised. They told me they'd extend a $500 "discount" because of the circumstances, but that they would not refund the remainder of the $1200 I'd already paid. They said they actually should have charged me more because the lawyer who contributed in the communication break-down eventually talked to me about my original lawyer leaving without notice... They actually wanted to charge me to relay information about their own lawyer's unprofessional conduct. Truly, truly mind-blowing. So, long story short I paid roughly $700 and lost almost a month's worth of time and energy on a time-critical filing because of this firm. It caused a lot of stress and frustration only to find myself back at square one with absolutely nothing accomplished or to show for it. Do yourself a favor and find another firm to work with. UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO FIRM’S RESPONSE: Regardless of what the firm said in their defense, when the second lawyer couldn’t reach me by phone he could have attempted to email me, or try my phone a second time to relay that my original lawyer had left the firm. That’s a pretty big issue that would require confirmed communication. Their response also said that the second lawyer did work in the interim responding to the opposing counsel, justifying additional charges to my account. This is false. There was no opposing counsel at that time. My ex did not secure representation until a month after I discontinued doing business with this firm. Additionally, the Motion to Enforce, which was the whole reason I employed them, was still never filed at the time I discontinued doing business with them. If the work they supposedly did was necessary to file the motion, fine. But they didn’t do that. They just sat on a time-sensitive filing. I lost my faith in lawyers after this experience and ended up researching how to file the Motion to Enforce myself. I did so and arrived at the outcome I had initially desired. Mind you, I have absolutely no background in law and my ex did secure legal representation at that point. It was me vs. a lawyer and I still had a desired outcome. So, it’s not like this was some really complicated case that required tons of legal prowess. It seems to me that this firm would like to make people think that they are doing more than they are so they can bill more. At the end of the day, they failed to fulfill the objective they were hired for and were lacking in communication. So, I stand by my original review. I would recommend finding a different firm to work with.

I usually don’t write reviews but I’ve felt compelled to do so in this situation. I retained Mr. Rand Lunceford as my attorney for a custody case in January 2025. From the moment I met Rand he was nothing short of amazing. He listened to me. He took my concerns very seriously and most importantly he cared. Rand Kept me up to date weekly and sometimes multiple times a week. Rand went above and beyond and I’ve never experienced the quality of service that was given to me throughout this entire process. Last month I was awarded full custody of my daughter and I don’t think anyone else could have helped me get to this point.
