I’ve retained David for a will & trust and the sale of a property. He was simply the best! He was honest, knowledgeable and attentive to all my needs. I highly recommend Lacher Law!!

Response from owner

Thank you, Lisa, for your most gracious comments. We weathered an extraordinarily difficult situation with the property sale but we achieved the objective. I am privileged to be your family attorney.

If anyone needs an Attorney to prepare a Will or Trust, I would like to recommend Mr. David Lacher, Esq. I found him to be friendly, respectful and most importantly, highly competent. He left no stone unturned, working diligently throughout the process. Thank you.

Response from owner

Thank you, Joe, for this kind review. It always helps to work with a client who is cooperative and congenial. All the best and be well.

David is very thorough, knowledgeable and Personable! Will definitely refer to friends and use him again!

Response from owner

Thank you, Chantal, for the very gracious review. The “thorough” and “knowledgeable” qualities are derived from years of experience. But the “Personable” - that comes from having the opportunity to work with a wonderful client family. I look forward to working with you again.

Felt taken advantage of by this business. Was told a consultation was $400 to discuss a basic review of a sale contract - in which the seller failed to disclose open applications for legalization work. Lacher could have told me over the phone that provisions in a sale contract do not survive a closing unless explicitly stated. Instead this gentleman led me to believe he needed to see my documents to really make sure. $400 later I walked out with basic information and no resolution. He claimed he would ask other attorneys in his network and get back to me. Never got back to me. Save your money and work with other reputable attorneys in New Rochelle.

I confess I am disappointed and in fact quite surprised to read this review posted on March 5, 2023. I must state at the outset that I am ethically precluded from discussing publicly any conversations I have with clients. In fact, I am precluded even from identifying people who have consulted with me in a professional capacity.
That having been been said, the name of this reviewer was not immediately familiar to me. However, there was some ring of familiarity to the circumstances that she relates here. That led me on a hunt through my calendar, and I found that I did consult with a person having the same first name but a different family name, all the way back on August 4, 2022 -- a full 7 months before the posting of this review this week. Again, I am precluded from discussing the legal advice that I give to anyone who consults me in my office. However, I can confirm in the abstract the legal principle that the reviewer states here: "provisions in a [real estate] sale contract do not survive a closing unless explicitly stated." Beyond that, again in the abstract, there is no lawyer anywhere who can opine on a legal contract that the lawyer has not seen. Every real estate contract of sale contains at least one Rider, and sometimes two Riders. Without actually seeing the contract and the Riders, no real estate lawyer could know whether there is an "explicit statement" contradicting the usual principle that representations in a sale contract do not survive the closing.
So without confirming or denying that this reviewer was the same person with whom I spent an hour and a quarter in my office on August 4, 2022, following what would have been an additional initial telephone conversation to set up the appointment for any in-office meeting, I would treat any future situation in exactly the same fashion. I never would attempt to give an opinion on any contract I have not personally reviewed. Moreover, it is not the practice in my law firm to give free telephone conversations. Once more without discussing specific consultations, sometimes the lawyer's answer is not what the individual hopes to hear. For certain, I did not represent this reviewer when she purchased the subject property. So the contract she signed was not my work.
I sincerely regret any dissatisfaction. This review is not reflective of the other reviews received here. I pride myself on my thoroughness, which all my clients appreciate. But sometimes the only answer is a disappointing one.

I write this review not as a satisfied client, but as a professional colleague with nearly four decades of law practice under my belt who has had the pleasure to meet and work with David. It is notable when we cross paths with a professional such as David, an attorney who cares about his clients, evaluates their needs, explains their options and preferred course of action, and sees them through the process, whether it be their estate planning endeavors, the administration of a deceased relative's or friend's estate, a house or apartment purchase or sale, or a business / corporate matter. There are many lawyers to choose amongst. My advice? Choose one who is intelligent, well informed, and cares.

I've retained David Lacher on several real estate transactions. In my opinion, he is simply outstanding. I have found him to be meticulous, responsive, and honorable in all of his dealings. I give him my highest recommendation.

Response from owner

Thank you, Dan, for your kind words. For those of us who endeavor to serve our clients every day, the undertaking is so much more rewarding when our clients are considerate, cooperative, and appreciative of our efforts -- as you have been consistently, without fail. Thank you again. I am looking forward to our next transaction together, already in the works.

David Lacher represented me for the purchase of a co-op. David guided me through the entire process, and was very professional and quick to respond to my calls, text messages or emails. I will certainly hire him again when needed.

Response from owner

Thank you, Harsha, for your very kind review. I will say that it is easy to be a good lawyer when the clients are responsive and cooperative. So I thank you as well for all your assistance, and I look forward to your referrals and to working with you again.

Mr. Lacher is very courteous and professional. He knows what he is doing. He helped me though a situation and the out come was very pleasing. I will most certainly keep him as a contact, and will consult with him before anyone else.
