As a caregiver for many years of a family member who had Parkinson's disease, our Licensed Clinical Social Worker at our hospital Neurology Department presented me with three names of eldercare law firms as my family member's health was declining. I interviewed all three firms, then selected Lamson & Cutner to proceed with our eldercare requirements for help in navigating the ever changing legal requirements as to long term nursing home care when on USA Government health care insurances. I am so happy to have found this law firm for help , my family members agree ,that it was the wisest decision for me to make. No one can do this complicated legal work alone and it is best ,if possible to proceed with legal issues when the ill person can still understand and contibute their own desires as to what their assets distribution ,usually but not exclusivly into an Irrevocable trust, as well as critical end of life decisions to their family which should be then ultimately drawn up in legal documents by an Attorney . As the LSCW stated to me when I hesitated thinking "I had so much time to get to this issue" ...'Don't put it off"!

The team at Lamson & Cutner is nothing short of stellar. I spoke with their office manager Tom on the phone and he was very helpful and took the time answered all my questions pertaining to estate planning for my parents. They are genuinely try to help you and are not trying to sell you any products you don't need like other estate planners. My parents ultimately did not end up use this law firm because they are not native English speakers and preferred a lawyer that spoke their native language but the staff at this office are rock stars and I would not pause to recommend them for your estate planning needs.

I attended Lamson & Cutner's "Long-Term Care Planning and Updates on Changes to the NYS Medicaid Program" on Mar. 24, 2021. I thought that David Cutner's presentation was excellent--extremely informative and valuable. I have attended other presentations given by attorneys from his law firm and have been extremely impressed by the caliber and professionalism of every one, .

We have been working with the firm of Lamson & Cutner since 2014, and we would recommend them highly for their expertise and their understanding of the needs of their clients. We and another friend consulted them originally about the situation of someone who was entering extreme old age with no family. The staff are knowledgeable and adept at navigating the complexities of institutions, and they helped us maintain her in independence and dignity in her last years. In 2020, we have turned to David Cutner to deal with our own legal affairs in this pandemic season and he has been most gracious and forthcoming in addressing our concerns and getting us to a speedy and satisfying resolution.

David was a joy to talk to. Pleasant and relaxed, he explained everything and more that me and my sister needed to know and answered our questions. I highly reccomend!

I called to inquire about a fee and the gentleman who answered the phone was pleasant, patient and informative. Unfortunately, I did not get his name, but he was mature and professional. I had called a few firms to inquire the same and overall the individuals who answered the phones were rude and made me feel like I was bothering them or like discussing fees is taboo.

From the minute I entered the Lamson & Cutner offices I felt at home and knew I was in good hands; just from the kind greeting I received. My father had a stroke in October of 2013. I was scared and confused. When I first met Mr. Cutner he sat with me for a long time explaining everything and what my options were. I felt as if he really cared about me and my dad. After meeting with this kind, gentle, man I felt like a weight was lifted even though there was a long road ahead. Well, it didn’t stop there. He introduced me to Karen Mancuso who worked with me in the most nurturing and professional way. I had a million questions and concerns and never once did she make me feel like I was being a nuisance. She handled everything with care; and me, with kid gloves. And, last but not least, thank you Tracy Connors for answering my many questions and concerns with the utmost knowledge and professionalism. It was a most difficult time and I have to say that the Lamson & Cutner team made me feel like I was not alone and they would be there for me and my dad always. These lawyers are exceptional. My elderly mother hired them after being badly injured in a car crash, to shield her assets in anticipation of the possible future need for Medicaid coverage for in-home or assisted living care. What should have been a simple transfer of assets from an existing trust (controlled by a long-time family financial advisor) into a new shielding trust established by Lamson & Cutner instead became a protracted and nasty battle requiring far more work than usual. This firm persevered and ultimately prevailed against an unscrupulous and stubborn adversary. I have the highest regard for their skill, patience and caring concern and recommend their services without reservation.
