So let me start by saying I had the worst divorce ever. I had a Mecklenburg County Lawyer Tell me to come in for a consultation when I got there they told me that they can’t represent me in Cabarrus County, but they could refer me to a lawyer there. So I was really upset that I paid a lawyer to tell me they can’t represent me, but they can refer me to Lancaster and St. Louis …but let me tell you It was the best referral ever these ladies work so hard and passionately at their job . At one point, they even called and checked on me every morning. Ms. St. Louis was very personable during our consultation. I was supposed to return to Concord in approximately a month to sign the will & powers of attorney that we had requested. Unfortunately, my father was hospitalized 8 days before our appointment. A couple of days into his hospitalization, I called Ms. St.Louis to see if she could bring the paperwork to the hospital, which is 5 minutes away, for us to sign. Felicia said that Ms. St.Louis would not be able to do that. I called again, a day or two later, to see if I could pick up the paperwork & sign with a notary at the hospital. I was told that the paperwork could not leave the office. 1-3 days later, my father had received multiple blood transfusions, I called to ask why she would not be able to take the paperwork to the hospital for signing. And what happens if he passes away before we get them signed. She was in another consultation, so Felicia said she would call me back. When Felicia called back, she said that the paperwork could not be taken out of the office. And if he passes away before signing, there is no will. I never spoke to Ms. St. Louis, nor did I get an answer as to why we were left hanging when we needed her. Jenifer Byle
