The nursing home took full advantage of me knowing that I no longer lived local in California. The fact that I lived on the east coast and could not be there to keep track of everything going on with my mom every day and making sure she was receiving the care she deserved from the very beginning. When I received the call from the nursing home that my mother was very ill and they wanted to know if I wanted her to be transported to the hospital, of course I said yes immediately only to receive the terrible news from the doctors three hours later what her labs showed and the horrible condition my mom was received in and that they didn’t expect she would make it through the night.
