If you are looking for a divorce lawyer, I strongly suggest you ignore the large number of questionable “shill” reviews posted here and look elsewhere. This gentleman got me into an extremely unreasonable shared parenting agreement with my original divorce several years ago - in fact, I am still in court years later with other legal representation trying to fix this horrific situation. Because of how the agreement is structured, my ex has been able to almost completely block any access I have to my children. I have literally spoken once to my children in the last 5 years. I am also paying about double the amount each month in child support that I should be paying - and when I questioned that amount multiple times during the negotiations for the agreement, he asserted repeatedly that the amount was correct by the Ohio guidelines for support calculation (it wasn’t). In fact, during one of these discussions, Laubacher had the audacity to say “look, for a few years you’ll be eating hot dogs and Spaghetti-Os [because you’re paying so much in child support], but then your income will go up and you’ll be fine”. These are thoughtless and frankly outrageous comments for an attorney (who is supposed to be acting as a fiduciary) to make to a client. He is so unaware of what is going on that to this day, he has still somehow never withdrawn himself as the attorney on my case. Between the overpayment for child support and the money it has cost hiring other lawyers to try to fix this mess, his actions in my case have cost me over $200k at this point. I have missed nearly half of my children’s childhoods while they remain in the home of my abusive ex. This is not the attorney you want representing you in court. Take your money and find someone (literally anyone) else.
