Catherine is unresponsive and doesn't clearly communicate. Most communication received from her was after 9pm. She demanded I pay her more and then proceeded to do work that I had asked her not to do, creating issues that would lead to extending the case and costing more money. She did not act as a fiduciary for me. She actually created more issues than I had before I hired her

While my divorce was not finalized with Catherine I recommend her. She was patient with my situation and made herself available over the years as I struggled to make a decision. She is compassionate and professional and knows the ins and outs of the law. My indecisiveness was the only reason my case has not been resolved.

I've struggled with 2 different family law firms in trying to finalize my divorce via a settlement since our main concern was to keep our kids out of the drama. Unfortunately, we weren't successful in part because of our attorneys not having (at least in my opinion) the expertise to handle our case as my spouse and desired. After just a short conversation with Catherine Favitta, I was not only impressed with her legal expertise but also with her level of comprehension when it comes to complex legal matters. Another important point with Catherine is that she's a solo practioner -- meaning she is able to devote her attention to a few select clients at a time vs the larger law firms that hand you off to multiple junior attorneys who seem to be "learning" at your expense. With Catherine I know I'm dealing with the top sr attorney and no one else.

If you are in the unfortunate position to need an attorney for family law Catherine is the only way to go. What I like about mostly is that she wasn't labeled divorce attorney which my spouse was looking at which just seems cold and matter of fact. I had a complicated situation with an adult son with special needs and over 30 years of marriage. The fact that she is well versed on family law was very important as I had custody, military retirement, child support and life insurance policies that all had to be addressed as my spouse was the soul bread winner. Catherine was on top of all of it to make sure my son and myself would be well provided for. So, much so my spouse said he wished she was his attorney. He had a useless just looking for money divorce attorney. Catherine, was very patient with me and my situation and I so much appreciated that. Due to the circumstances that my spouse and I were amicable after infidelity issues she let us proceed at our own pace.
