Mr. Willman has been great handling things for us! We live out of state & he helped us from long distance. Hire him if you want a competent, skilled attorney instead of having a court appointed (what’s best for the state) attorney.

Agree with prior review and a 1 star is very generous. Mr. Willman was retained by my husband in 2023. At court dates, he arrived late, rarely communicated with us as to what he was doing, did not return phone calls or texts in a timely fashion. I don't feel my husband was advised very well with his plea deal and have absolutely no idea what Mr Willman's defense was for him.

Following a review update, Adam Williams contacted me to clarify the Scofflaw Lift Fee and provided a full refund. Their responsiveness and willingness to rectify the situation is exceptional; most law firms are difficult to contact, let alone obtain a refund from. Therefore, I highly recommend their services.

Well we were in court waiting for him NO show! Call the lawyer that was working with him, he said they haven't worked together in almost a year and he could no longer help us as he is now a Monroe county prosecutor. Called his office, the person that answered was rude, when asked were he was. She stated not on calendar I don't know what you want me to do he is in court. Well that's a really good answer to give some one in a serious situation. I Went back into court to speak with the judge and told him what was said. Judge Dorn called him and we had to wait until the afternoon and go back to court. That was a year ago have not heard from him since, and the case is still on going. A lot of money for little to no service! Well the response that this so called lawwe just proves he does not know what he is doing. The cases is not over! It was not over two years ago as stated and we still have a court hearing to attend, so I guess we won't be expecting you to show up for that as well! The first court appearance I will remind you was in Phelps. You were a no show and called your former partner to attend. The we went to Canandaigua court which Chris was there the first time and no one showed the second time.

Ms. Hudson,

I was surprised by your review, given the significant effort made on your husband’s behalf. His case was closed over two years ago, but I remember it well due to the difficult circumstances your family faced.

Regarding the court date: your husband's case was adjourned for over a year after his initial plea date in May of 2022. The formal court notice for sentencing was regrettably only sent to my co-counsel who had taken a new job during the following calendar year. I had no knowledge of the appearance until contacted that morning. I promptly dropped everything I was doing and arrived at the courthouse without issue. I sincerely wish your concern was brought to my attention then, in 2023.

Despite that, I worked hard to keep your husband out of prison—which we achieved. He was given a fair opportunity: one year of probation with community service. Had he completed that, probation would have ended. Unfortunately, he did not.

I stand by the outcome we secured and the work done throughout the case. It’s unfortunate to see that effort misrepresented.
The moment I reached out to Adam, he took me under his wing. He handled my case as perfect as I could imagine it going. He was professional, an avid listener and he took all of the weight of it off my back. I couldn’t have hired a better attorney!🤩

Oh this Adam guy is awesome. A man of his word. He told me when he was done I would not have a criminal record. The district attorney's took Adam and me into three different courtrooms on three different days and Adam would not give up until he got exactly what he said he would get for me.

He never returns your calls he never answer you he got 5500 and all he did was get my son 10 yrs probation for his very first ever being in trouble and when my son took the plea he had no ideal what it was tell after he was never spoken to Adam just had him take the plea I wouldn't recommend him to no one a public defender could do better than what adam did for all that money for my son.

Response from owner

Ms. Whitehead,

I sincerely apologize for your negative experience. With that being said, your son's case has been closed for many months now and this review is not a fair characterization of what had occurred. While true, your son had never been in trouble before, he was unfortunately charged with a very serious felony for which he was facing state prison. After months of negotiations and motions filed by my office, we were not only able to avoid jail time, but he was able to avoid a criminal conviction as the charges were sealed. Out of respect for your son and my ethical obligations as an attorney, I cannot speak of the particular's of the case- but I am truly shocked by your recollection of events. You and your son met with me at my office multiple times throughout the duration of his case and I had a great rapport with him. We spoke frequently. After your son was sentenced to probation, he regrettably violated the terms of probation and wound up in jail. I set up an immediate court date and had him released the same day. I must add that I was never compensated for that representation, but I truly wanted to help your son.

I am giving Mr. Willman a five star rating if I could give more I would. My self personally has not had Mr. Willman but I know someone who has! And this certainly individual gave Mr. Willman a run for his money. If you know you know. I have always learned it's never a good idea to work against your attorney... But more less let them guide you through your case. And not call the shots that will not work out in your favor.. My hat comes off to Mr. Willman he stood his ground and no matter what maintained perfessional through it all. He worked so hard for this individual and did everything he could possibly could do. But people know sometimes life doesn't go as planned.. Job well done if I ever need Mr. Willman I will for sure reach out to him no questions being asked he is a beast in the court room...

I received a six-point speeding ticket in upstate NY and hired a lawyer for $350 to handle it. Instead of appearing in court, they sent a letter, causing a year-long delay. Although the charge was reduced to a two-point violation, I still had to pay the fine and take a defensive driving course. The main issues were poor communication and lack of updates. Initially, I thought the ticket was for three points, adding to my confusion. The lawyer’s absence in court made me feel unsupported. In hindsight, I could have pleaded guilty, paid the fine, and taken a defensive driving course myself, saving the $350 and avoiding the frustration and delay. The two points on my license, which can be mitigated by a defensive driving course, didn’t justify the cost and hassle. Overall, despite the point reduction, the delays and poor communication were very frustrating.

Response from owner

Mrs. Chapurina,

I sincerely apologize for your negative experience. We pride ourselves on both results and customer satisfaction. We have attempted to reach out to you to address your concerns, but you have not called back. With that being said, we did everything possible to get you the best outcome available. With each court throughout the state, different policies are in effect as to whether an in-person appearance for a hired attorney is necessary. In your case, it was not; hence our non-appearance. In those instances, like yours, we still negotiate directly with the prosecutor outside of court, as is the usual and best course of practice. Given the exceptionally high speed we were dealing with, it took great effort and much more time to secure the reduction that you received.

Had you elected to plead guilty to this offense without our office's representation, you would have been subject to a mandatory NYS surcharge of $93, a potential maximum fine of $300, and an additional fee called a "driver responsibility assessment," payable directly to the DMV. The assessment fee is designed to prevent the repeated behavior of problem drivers and to improve traffic safety. In your case, this would have been an additional $300. Lastly, there is no telling what your insurance company may have done with respect to any premiums- which is one of the most frequent concerns of my clients.

Given the results of your case, it is without a doubt that you were better off with the outcome you received versus your consideration of mailing in a plea of guilty to the original offense. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to call as previously suggested.

Horrible lawyer. Doesn’t listen. Doesn’t have the balls to actually get the job done. Wastes time. To scared to stand up to the da or the judge.

Response from owner

Mr. Tortorello- I represented you over 3 years ago. You came to me with a violation of probation for which the underlying offense you were accused of was stealing your grandparent's identities in order to defraud a bank out of $170,000, having pled guilty to Identity Theft. You also had a new criminal charge for grand larceny where you were alleged to have stolen property belonging to your landlord. As far as my representation of you went, I zealously advocated for you in Ontario County. I had even orchestrated an offer that would have wrapped up your violation, your grand larceny, and other fraud charges you had pending in Oswego County to which I did not represent you on. Against my advice, you requested a hearing despite strong evidence against you as to the violation. You also chose to testify on your own behalf against my advice. After the hearing, the judge found your testimony to be "less than credible," and of course found there to be a violation. Shortly thereafter, you apologized to me profusely for your explosive and erratic behavior- ultimately stating that you were sorry and should have listened to me. I sincerely hope everything has worked out for you, including your out of state fraud charges as well.

Great experience!! I’m from NJ and was a bit apprehensive finding a lawyer who isn’t in my area but I’m super happy with my results. I had a speeding ticket that was fought for me and i would highly recommend. They were a pleasure to work with.
