Allen was great through most of my process. Bankruptcy went very smooth. After that I needed information from the same case. Didn't realize I could look it up myself. He got very frustrated and asked me for 50 dollars basically because I didn't say thank you to him. I was dealing with the IRS and very confused at the time, didn't realize my case was public information. Which he said after I sent him the courtesy money. Keep track of your information and don't ask for help afterwards. Some people don't like being nice and doing someone that doesn't know things a favor.

Allen Turnage is a knowledgeable bankruptcy attorney that I would recommend to anyone seeking bankruptcy help. Allen is very concerned and will help you in anyway he can. I would give him a 10 if it was available.

Mr. Turnage was very helpful in saving my home. The bank agreed but refused to work inside the bankruptcy so I basically filed bankruptcy for nothing. I was advised to convert from a Chapter 13 to Chapter 7 after that and I didn't understand why. Mr. Turnage knew I was a graduate student and should have known this would exclude me from future student loans. I did not know this because student loans are excluded from bankruptcy protection so in my mind, it doesn't matter if I have a 7 or a 13. I saved my house but now I have to fund the last year of graduate school out of pocket, which will mean a delay for me. It's frustrating because, as my attorney, he should have known this and advised differently. I depended on his expertise and, in this case, it did not serve me well. I understand Mr. Turnage position, and I don't want to convey the idea that he is not an effective bankruptcy attorney. If you have other life situations outside of finances (like graduate school), be cognizant of your options so that you make the best decisions FOR YOU. In hindsight, I would not convert to a Chapter 7. It was pointless in my case. Mr. Turnage is a a knowledgeable bankruptcy attorney but advocate for yourself so that other parts of your life will not be further disrupted.
