My family and I are very appreciative that the Law Office of Hasson Barnes has taken my situation seriously and worked diligently to help with my legal matter. This law firm followed the necessary procedures to help me overcome the challenges posed by the company being sued. Some of the challenges the Law Office of Hasson Barnes helped me overcome were my inability to reach the top officials of that unnamed company and the company's attorney; the failure to address the location of the injury; and the difficulty I had in reaching the right person who handles this matter. However, the Law Office of Hasson Barnes worked tirelessly to pursue them for over 2 years, and finally, we were able to obtain a judgment on my behalf for medical bills incurred after my fall. Attorney Kimberly Van Bavel navigated the court process with ease and situated me in a positive light. She won my court case. I am thankful. I highly recommend the Law Office of Hasson Barnes, because this Law firm will fight for justice for you.

I received a settlement that covered all my medical treatments and more. If you're looking for a dedicated and trustworthy personal injury lawyer in Maryland - This is it

Not clear why a retainer fee couldn't be disclosed. Of course every case is different but costs should be the variable not the retainer. And I'm paying $400 for a consultation first?

Exceptional Legal Representation - Highly Recommend! I cannot express enough gratitude for the outstanding work done by the Law Office of Hasson Barnes and his associates. They handled my mother’s case with unparalleled professionalism and compassion, making a difficult process remarkably painless for my family and me. Despite the challenging circumstances of my mother’s passing during the legal proceedings, the team at Hasson Barnes Law Office was incredibly nurturing and sympathetic. They went above and beyond by sending someone to my mother’s home to discuss the details of the case, ensuring that she felt included and informed every step of the way. They made her feel not just like another client, but actually like family. After my mother’s passing, which was not due to anything related to the legal matter, they even sent flowers to our home, showing genuine care and support during a difficult time. Associate attorney Britta deserves special recognition for the exceptional work she did on this file, and her communication skills were amazing. She kept us informed through phone calls and emails, explaining complex legal matters in a clear and understandable manner that put us at ease. Mr. Barnes’s courtroom appearance and presentation were nothing short of extraordinary. He captivated the jury with his eloquence and vivid storytelling, speaking on behalf of my mother in a way that held their attention and conveyed the true impact of our case. Thanks to their stellar handling of the case, we were awarded four times more than we expected and six times more than the initial offer from the insurance company. The outcome exceeded our wildest expectations, and we are forever grateful for the dedication and expertise of the Law Office of Hasson Barnes. If you’re looking for top-notch legal representation, look no further. I wholeheartedly recommend this firm for all your legal needs. You can trust that you’ll be in excellent hands. Sincerely, A Very Satisfied Client

GARBAGE - IN / GARBAGE OUT - HIS LEGAL WORK IS TRASH! THE WORST LEGAL REPRESENTATION THAT MONEY CAN BUY! Beware of Attorneys who takes pictures with their arms crossed. It's a good chance they are not doing any work. My legal experience with Mr. Barnes, felt like he was practicing HIP-HOP / IMPROVISATIONAL LAW. When it came to my guardianship case, engaging with Mr. Barnes, felt like everything was done last minute. If the court date was the next day, he'd schedule a meeting with me/client a day or night before. Case in point. I was informed by Mr. Barnes that my court date was the following day, less than 24 hours after I knew I had a scheduled court date and he and assistant wanted to meet. The next day, Mr. Barnes showed up late to the court hearing via ZOOM, after I had to text and call him that morning that I was being grilled by the judge without representation waiting for him to arrive at the ZOOM hearing. When he appears before the judge on ZOOM, he gets reprimanded by her for not wearing a jacket or tie to court. I was embarrassed as a client. Even the judge told him that his outward appearance was non-professional, especially as an officer of the court. I knew it was downhill from there traveling more than 100 miles per hour (mpg) going south with all expenses paid for out of my pocket to procure his legal services. He charged me to subpoena bank documents that were not needed or used in court after discussing that they were not needed due to an anticipated decision by the judge based an a doctor's report, but he still charged me for subpoenaing the documents. However, his partner Ms. Raglemann, stated to me during the meeting before the hearing that the documents did not need to subpoena due to budgetary concerns. My mother's lawyer already had those bank documents for the guardianship case because I gave those documents to them and they were admissible in court. Here is another example of lackluster last minute behavior. When I had to take a parent to the doctor's for a court appointed visit with paperwork from the court to be filled out by the doctor on that date, Mr. Barnes never provided me with the paper work until two weeks after the visit.. He had to ask the opposing counsel / lawyer for their paperwork from the doctor during that visit for the next scheduled hearing. This is a prime example of his consistently inconsistent lackluster behavior and I provided him with the doctor's appointment date at least a month in advance. To top it off, I had to call his office weeks after the case was closed for them to return my balance after speaking to him about my balance weeks prior and I am still waiting on my balance to be returned. I would not recommend him to anyone dealing with family law unless you want everything done at the last minute or if you don't mind him asking the opposing counsel for their paperwork. He is the first attorney I met who used the opposing attorney's paperwork because he was to lazy to give me my paperwork on time. The opposing attorney send me those doctor forms filled out by the doctor to my home directly and Mr. Barnes never made mention that those documents would be arriving at my house, not his office, a few days before the last court date. This guy charged me white shoe law firm prices when this guy comes to court with no tie, jacket, and probably no socks or pants on because all the court hearings are held on Zoom. My experience felt like a legal money grab. His BILLING was the only thing that arrived on time and IF YOU ASKED HIM ABOUT WHY THIS CHARGE OR THAT CHARGE WAS ON YOUR INVOICE FOR, HE HAS A LOT TO TALK ABOUT IN A SCHOLARLY WAY BUT his ACCOUNTING IS JUST AS QUESTIONABLE AS HIS LEGAL PRACTICE. Mr. Barnes set up his FACEBOOK page where no client can give him a negative response or negative recommendation. That says a lot about his law practice and integrity. HOWEVER, I AM STILL WAITING FOR MY BALANCE TO BE MODIFIED & RETURNED. Please read the review below mine by Mr. Holt. Similar REVIEW!

ZERO STARS! DO NOT HIRE THIS LAWYER! 12/12 UPDATE: IRRESPONSIBLE, CARELESS, UNRESPONSIVE - WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY! The Law Offices of Hasson D Barnes offered me zero legal insight, were and are consistently uncommunicative, and demonstrate a true lack of consideration or concern. They also clearly lack the means by which to operate a business. As of 12/12/2022: Mr Barnes purportedly mailed my $2600 refund check on 11/29 (the day I posted my first review HERE). This was according to his assistant attorney Britta Regelmann, whom I fired from my case October 11, 2022, and was officially dismissed by the court on our around November 18th. The proverbial *check in the mail* NEVER arrived. The USPS Informed Delivery Service has NO record of it. I don't know what I can possibly do to get my money back, but next I am contacting the following: • Baltimore County Bar Association • Attorney Grievance Commission and Office of Bar Counsel • MSBA Committee for the Resolution of Fee Disputes 11/29/2022 I wish I had never chosen this group to represent me. After being hung out to dry for months, I had to obtain new council and now, 6 weeks later, they still will not return the remainder of my money. It has been the absolute worst experience.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Was advised to use Hasson Barnes services. Hasson agreed to represent me in a Child Custody battle. Said that he handled cases like mines all the times and could definitely get me time with my child. Instead he pushed my case on to his assistant Jettone Ellis. After paying $4k retainor fee, days before trial I was pushed into paying $2k more to be represented on trial day. Ms. Ellis seemed very inexperienced. Given very little help I lost everything. Now I am left paying a mortgage amount in child support and 2 days a month time with my child. I will never recommend this horrible law firm. Hasson has failed me and so has the system.

Ms. Ellis was assigned to my case, and from start to finish she handled it with professionalism and priority. She was dedicated in assisting me maneuver through all of the legal proceedings. She communicated with me frequently to let me know of any updates or changes regarding my case. Even during the unexpected death of my father, Ms. Ellis showed empathy and offered to assist further in anyway way she could. When it was all said and done, I won my case.. not just because it was a strong case based on the evidence but I won my case because Ms. Ellis worked her heart out on it! I highly recommend the Law Office of Hassan D. Barnes, more specifically Attorney Jetonne Ellis.
