The negative Reviews are 100% correct Do not come to the law firm for family law as they do not care about some of there clients gave me a flat fee rate just to come back and say I need another 3500 when you have sent any motion in my court only came to one court case and filed for child support didn’t even start my marriage Proposal.. Beware stay away they come on nice make you feel comfortable then drop you like nothing and take all your money with false reports of things… Take you money and business elsewhere I hired her in march she dropped me today 8-31 as a client with all my money 4000 down the drain.. I’ve been to many lawyers none have gave me a retainer of 20k but that’s what Kayla said that what they will start doing now Kayla is the Business manager.. STAY AWAY….!!!! Update 07/31/2025 I would stay away from this lawyer because of her I had to restart my case all over again worst lawyer in the high desert and can’t argue on how everyone should stay away from Heather Hinton law firm.

Terrible lawyer. She didn’t even know anything about the case. Unprepared, unorganized, waste of money. Disappointing and expensive compared to other lawyers.

Heather & Kayla are super sweet, don’t get me wrong. However, now that I have had other attorneys I fully realize that how I was feeling about nothing getting done was true. Heather is always late to the hearings, thankfully the judge was always so sweet and waited for her even though my case was called before she arrived. I had to remind them every time something was due to the court and they acted confused and surprised. Very stressful. Had to always send documents and explain my case multiple times to them. My final hearing was on 12 DEC 2022, I STILL have NOT received the final order and it’s NOV 2023. I asked multiple times and Kayla and Heather would say “the court is backed up” so I went to the court house myself and they told me my final order was reviewed and submitted incorrectly by Heather & sent back to her office months ago to be fixed. STILL don’t have that final order. Thank goodness it does not matter now since I hired another lawyer to have my son adopted by his stepdad anyways but still I paid for a service & never received a final product. Please go elsewhere, again, they are both so so sweet and I feel bad but seriously stay on top of your cases. I’ve had 2 other attorneys now and they were on it & had everything to me immediately! I hired Heather to fight for full legal and physical custody of my children and for child support and she delivered! Heather did a lot for me under one flat rate. It's so important to hire a lawyer; I'm glad I didn't just represent myself. Heather ensured my paperwork was in order and that's something I wasn't confident in myself. This was the second experience with a lawyer and the first left me traumatized by poor communication and unjustified fees and bills beyond my retainer having no accountability. Heather went to court for me and got me more than I anticipated. Heather's staff also explained the child support process and contacted my ex to arrange the payment effective tomorrow so that I would not need to speak to him. Heather is a liar and a thief beware do not go to this attorney she did absolutely nothing for me I never went to court I was charged me 5,000 charging me $600 for text messages just to fill in the gaps with my retainers so she would not have to pay me anything

I was not Impressed with Ms. Heather Hinton's technique on handling my case, I felt as if I was not important as a client there was no communication unless I initiated it. The supporting staff was unorganized, they kept asking for documents I had already provided, I asked them for a detailed expenditure discloser I never received the itemized list, I received just that they worked hard on my case with hourly rates. The outcome was less desirable. I would not recommend her services.

Ms. Hinton is a great attorney! I hired her for a DUI case and she was very informative the entire thing, especially keeping me updated. When I got nervous about the case and asked her tons of questions, she assured me I would be fine and she was able to bring my consequences down immensely! She is such an amazing person and actually cares for her clients. I was referred by a friend to hire her and will now refer her to others!
