Tom is a MUST to retain!! I have utilized numerous lawyers over the years, but my friends recommended Tom Salata to me for the child custody case that I filed. I filed, due to the way that my ex was treating/raising my son in her custody. As a male, fighting for custody, I was not naive enough to think that my chances were high to win the case, as the court systems are very biased towards the mother when it comes to custody of children. What started off as a “routine” child custody case, (with the anticipated goal to at least get more visitation) quickly went very South, due to my ex making some major allegations against me, which turned my life upside down. Everyone around me knew the allegations were unfounded, but the “system” had to go through its process to investigate them. Tom knew very quickly that these allegations were totally unfounded, and he went over-and-above, to prove so. He took the case extremely personally and was working the case physically, mentally and emotionally every day for the duration – even during the evenings and weekends. He worked with the police, District Attorney, Guardian Ad Litem, Psychiatrists, Forensic Polygraph experts, and many other specialized resources to prove that the allegations were totally unfounded. Tom has a significant amount of credibility and reputation in the GA legal system, so despite several judges rotating in and out of the court system during by case, he maintained his status throughout. My ex changed lawyers several times during the case, and Tom defeated each one! Tom is a Pitbull of a lawyer, that will fight for you all the way, and is extremely knowledgeable about the law, being able to cite many case-laws to keep many steps ahead of his opposing counsel(s). Many lawyers know what the end results will be to a case, when they take it, but they still take you on a zig-zag path to get there, which clocks up many hours and costs along the way. But Tom is not like that, at all! He is a straight talker, tells you the truth, and will keep you honest, despite how much you don’t want to hear what he says at times – and he is usually right when you look back. He took my case on the straightest path possible, despite my ex’s attempts to keep derailing it, and I know Tom did not bill me for many hours that he actually worked. There are not many lawyers out there, that have strong morals, and ethics, but Tom has all these qualities and more! He is a genuine, god fearing, family man, with too many other qualities to mention. Explain the law and options in details, I call him to See if I can hire him for Appeal of child custody and he was so honest with me about my chances and gave some great information and options that I can do in the future , the amount of info he gave me more than all the attorneys I hired before, He declines to represent me but I really appreciate the time and info and the friendly mode of advice.
