Extremely unprofessional. During my Level 1 and Level 2 grievances against MISD, she didn’t even remember essential facts. Never responds to client requests. Do yourself a huge favor and don’t waste your money hiring her as your criminal attorney or for anything! I had to fire her and hire another attorney. Now, I need her to do an affidavit about the money I pad her since I have a lawsuit…and she refuses to respond to requests from my civil attorney. #unacceptable

I was very disappointed. Showed up at the hearing, not one minute early, advised our family member to take the first offer, didn't seem like she was prepared to fight, gave bad counsel when she did input, and did't even try to look professional ...no makeup, hair stringy, baggy dress. Seemed on the other side, not ours.

Miss Carpenter was hired by the court as a mediator charged me $500 for 1 hour just to side with the courts her job was to mediate on both sides but she works for the court never got a resolution and am out 500 dollars I was robbed by Ector county and miss carpenter

Im not sure why the bad reviews bit from an actual client here’s mine! I hired Laura for a nasty custody battle and she was BEYOND amazing! In 3 months she served him out of state , got full child support, full retroactive child support , & the visitations just as I had requested, not only did she work hard for everything to be done but she listened to my concerns , she listened and actually cared. Her staff is amazing as well I had great communication with Ashley & Stephanie. These ladies work hard and definitely deserve the praise. I was satisfied with the time , the results , & the communication. You have to keep in mind lawyers have several other cases you won’t speak every day every week maybe not even every month, but everytime I had a doubt I reached out and I was answered the same day. I will definitely keep Laura on speed dial. Thank you!!!

This is the WORST "lawyer" you can find. Only giving her a 1 star because we can't do 0. We hired her to help us with my husbands child custody/support. He has had our kids their entire lives but biological mother has always filed child support against him (how? who knows). We went with all the proof and just wanted to get full custody and the egg donor on supervised visitation only. Well all she ever did was request money over and over. We paid over $7000. She never prepped for court never spoke with my husband to find out what was the back story NOTHING! At court she wasn't fighting for my husband just wanted him to pay back child support even though we had proof that he always had the kids. Finally I told her in front of the state representative to offer to the egg donor to clear the back child support and we would waive asking for child support from her. Then and ONLY then did she speak up for something in favor of my husband. She is the worst attorney ever! Save your money and find someone else!!!!
