Mr.Hines is by far the best attorney in Saint John’s County! He is honest, kind, caring and compassionate BUT most importantly professional and greatly respected! As a former LEO aka police officer, and a Prosecutor, He knows his way around court system quite well! Not only is he knowledgable, he cares deeply about his clients and will go the extra mile to get the best outcome possible for them. He gave me the best Christmas gift I could have possibly asked for by a tactical well calculated legal maneuvering which impressed me greatly, and as a professional negotiator not too many things do! I could go on & on about him and his amazing office staff but let me tell you one thing: If you need the best legal counsel and advocacy in Saint John’s County, there is only one attorney I would call!!! I hired Michael Hines last minute not realizing I need a lawyer for my daughter. It was the best decision I ever made. Michael, not only having the best bed side manner, was beyond prepared for this case that the other lawyer didn't even question my daughter n the stand. Michael made sure everything was ignorer and had every little detail ins file just in case. The case was dismissed and I can't tell you how thrilled we are. I hope I never need a lawyer again but if we do Michael Hines is the man to hire. We are so happy with the outcome and his due diligence.

He won in family court for me. im a felon father. the mom tried to do a guardian ad litem case after as well and he got that dismissed as well. he's a certified genuine beauty. his team is to the point and no nonsense. dont get razor focus confused for rudeness. they get results. end of story! i'll update this review with a family picture after i see my kids this spring break.

I can't say thank you enough! 2024 I do believe has been the absolute worst year of my life! It was literally through God I found Mr. Hines at the time I was working for someone he knows company. My Real Estate Partner and I came to his office to be treated rudely along with his team. We were simply popping by to drop off gourmet treats and leave our business cards because I, as a Mortgage Specialist and my Partner a Real Estate Agent work with various attorneys to help their clients and get their info for my own divorce filing.. to be rudely yelled at from Michael Hines in front of his staff and the clients in Lobby to "get out" yelling at us. Very unprofessional and in my 25 plus years of business never seen such behavior. I would NEVER use or refer this man to ANY of my clients. Word of mouth is very powerful.

Run in the other direction. Especially of you're a woman. He basically took $2500 of my money and did nothing but file for divorce for me. Nothing else. Would not answer calls, no answered emails. He went on vacation and did not inform me he would not be available and did not allow anyone in his office to tell me. When I decided he was not the lawyer for me in that 2 weeks, he kept half of my retainer $2500 and when I asked that he return it because he ghosted me the whole time and did nothing bit $400 in filing after he took my $5000. He told me I was SOL. He touts what a good Christian he is... well.. if you say so Mike..

I recommend A hard pass

I hired Michael in 2016 for a modification in a case that was from another state, he informed me he was capable of moving jurisdiction before we filed for the modification. I went to him because he has a military background, and that was important for my case. Michael took my $3000, ran around producing no results for months, lacked in responding in a timely manner, said he attempted numerous times to have orders served- accepting lies from the spouse of the defendant, and never served the orders. He communicated with the defendants counsel and spread sensitive information that made it's way back to me. I finally fired him, after the prior state claimed jurisdiction over the case because he never filed the proper documentation to have it changed. I requested a refund, in which I never received. He then sent me a letter saying he let me go as a client due to lack of payment. BEWARE of this man and his lies. I will NEVER refer him to anyone. Being in the military doesn't make a person more honorable. To those wondering why I am JUST NOW making this review, I realized I never had when in conversation with someone looking for counsel and decided to save some others money and time. I would give a negative star if I could.

I contacted Mr. Hines for representation on a case and I felt his response was very rude and unprofessional: “I am very reluctant to take your case. I made two simple requests back in August for you to send me the pleadings you were served with and you could not get me those documents. I have reviewed the pleadings and you have made a mess out of representing yourself, putting yourself in a huge hole. Also, I am unavailable on December 21, 2023 as I have another mediation. Why would I want to take your case?”

Michael Hines is the guy to hire ! He got me my life back plus $19,000!!! If you get another attorney you will be hating life like my X is .

My , I was lied to by him and all his gal players. The ticket I had was my life . I had to win my DUI. I was a truck driver. Micheal Hines, the day of court had me plead Guilty. Told me I had NO chance of any dismissal. The cop found me broke down on the side of the road. I refused to walk on hot pavement with no shoes. My life is a waste now. Never No chance of recovery from this fat nasty lazy man's greedy day in court for me. You will and are being lied to by this MASTER FAKE.
