Please feel free to contact me if you have been a previous client (years 2019-2021). In the small amount of help from other lawyers and research I have done on my own, there are multiple clients of Scott Elswick that spent $5K to nearly $100K without services rendered, delay in time from lack of response to myself and the court delay a 3-6 months process nearly 3 years costing me personally over $100K, additional lawyer ('s) to close a divorce case. It is unbelievable to me, that a professional that is representing the court of law, sworn in and took the oath, but the same court system allows him to be held un-accountable for what most likely adds up to millions of dollars stolen without any personal acknowledgement. Please feel free to contact me in any way if you personally were taken for over $5K or more without ever being refunded in any way. This has to be taken care of. This isn't justice.

My daughter’s doctor placed a CPS report that resulted my daughter living with me. I paid Mr Elswick 10/2021. Months of no contact, no returned calls, voice mail turned off, or voice mail full. No response to emails. Except for 1 phone conversation and a couple emails in March 2022. I’ve had to call Wayne Family Court myself twice to see if anything was filed. In May 2022 I emailed him to terminate contract as 7 months had passed, no court date, no motions filed, countless non return of calls, etc. Surprise surprise no response. I’ve had to pay for another attorney now and it took her 30 minutes to file and get a court date that he couldn’t do in 7 months. (Zero stars)

We paid Mr. Elswick to represent my daughter in family court. Hired him August 4, 2021. He has done absolutely NOTHING but take our money. He will not return any of my daughters phone calls or emails. We hired him because he had good reviews at that time. I explained to Mr. Elswick the issues we had with a previous lawyer we hired who completely ignored my daughter as well. He assured us he wasn't that type of lawyer. No clue how to get our money back because we can't get in touch with him and we don't have any money to hire another lawyer now. I am starting to think all the good reviews were just fake. I am far from impressed.

This lawyer agreed to represent my fiancé in a case. He forgot about our case. It’s been over a year and he stopped returning our calls. I am submitting him to the bar for not retiring our money. Do not use this lawyer.

I give the law office of Scott E. Elswick a 5/5. Scott E. Elswick has made it possible to have my son with me. It has been almost 16 months since my child has been in my home. It has truly been a long battle, and Scott E. Elswick prevailed! He is an amazing Lawyer, and I would definitely recommend him! Thank you so much Scott E. Elswick!

Not sure

I strongly recommend Scott as a family court lawyer. Having dealt with one of the most difficult judges in the Kanawha county family court system he efficiently helped me gain full custody and even went outside of the state lines (verified laws and worte up AZ orders) to ensure my parental rights were upheld. After 8 months of not seeing my kids he effectively got the judge to order the children back the mother in contempt if not brought back. If you have a hard case ahead of you and then I recommend someone who is methodical and persistent good, both words I would use to describe Scott. he goes above and beyond for his clients. He's also a former family court judge would never hurts at all. 5 stars for my experiences with Scott.
