Stewart is very professional. He provided great service to me with very reasonable fees. I highly recommend him! I have circled his contact information to my friends.
Thank you for the recommendation. Note that I have drafted countless estate plans for families throughout Montgomery County for a reasonable price.
I worked with Steward on a postnuptial agreement, and I’m extremely grateful for his services. It was a stressful and sensitive process, but Steward patiently guided me through it with professionalism, clarity, and efficiency. He made sure everything was handled properly and helped ease a difficult situation. I’m happy to say the agreement is now signed and notarized. Hopefully I won’t need legal help again soon—but if I do, I know who I’ll be calling. Thanks again, Steward!
It was pleasure assisting the client in the difficult situation of negotiating a post-nuptial agreement.
Stewart managed to help me retrieve a large sum of money back from a business associate in under a week. He did an amazing job and was a great and clear communicator. I will be using him for my estate planning in the coming weeks. Sincerely, Julian
It was pleasure representing this client and resolving his legal dispute in an expedited and cost-effective manner.
Whoever answers the phones and questions is very rude and complicated. Couldn’t state my situation without being interrupted and the responses were SO rude as if he did not want to help. Not sure if this is an attorney or front desk but not welcoming or helpful at ALL.
Based upon the information that Ms. Gomez provided, she received appropriate advice on how to resolve her legal problems. In general, potential clients become upset and frustrated with attorneys for two reasons. First, sometimes potential clients are unable to articulate the nature of their legal problem, especially if they did not fully particulate in their prior litigation. These clients mistakenly believe that judgments entered against them can somehow be re-opened and vacated, despite the fact that the time to file an appeal has long expired. Secondly, some potential clients wait too long to retain an attorney. If they had retained legal representation on the onset, their legal issues probably could have been resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner. But when a client delays retaining an attorney, their legal issues can snowball into a complex, ugly mess. Unfortunately, the potential client, who now desperately needs legal representation, may no longer be in a position to afford an attorney to solve their complicated legal case. The old adage applies to when a person should retain an attorney: "A stitch in time will save nine". The longer a person delays in retaining an attorney, the more it will cost for the attorney to address their legal issues.
I recently needed consultation on family law and connected with attorney Sutton. I am so glad I found him! He is very knowledgeable and conscientious when providing his legal advice. He really takes time to listen and understand your situation, which is rare these days. I was getting tired of talking to front desk clerks that made me feel like a number. With attorney Sutton, I got the individual attention I needed and I really felt that I was in good hands. I high recommend his services without any hesitation!
Thank you for your kind words. My clients and potential clients communicate directly with me, because I don't employ a secretary or receptionist.
I was extremely pleased with the legal services provided by Stewart Sutton. He quickly grasped my situation and achieved a settlement within two months for the substantial losses I incurred. I wholeheartedly recommend his services.
Thank you for entrusting me with your legal matter. Your confidence in my abilities means everything to me.
unhelp and could careless about helping minority
I never met with nor communicated with anyone named Sora Hitoshi. This person using a fictitious name has all of the hallmarks of someone who did not like my honest opinion concerning his or her case. I am always willing to talk to potential clients to determine the nature of their legal problem and whether I can assist them. However, I'm duty bound to inform callers when they do not have a meritorious or valuable case.

Some potential clients quickly become dissatisfied when they discover that there is a wide discrepancy between their expectations and reality.

For example, I once received a call from a woman who wanted sue to Taco Bell for $5 million, because she found ground beef in her bean taco. She candidly disclosed that the consumption of the meat had not made her physically ill, but that she had suffered emotional distress from the thought of having eaten meat. I explained to her that Maryland does not recognize the tort of negligent infliction of emotional distress. When I told her that her case was worth exactly $3, which was the amount that she had paid for her bean taco, she yelled at me and then hung up.
Stewart did an absolutely fantastic job of helping me reach a reasonable and successful outcome - he's down to earth, well-versed in the attorney malpractice space, and is not shy to share the good, bad, and ugly for you to make an informed decision.
Thank you.
A lawyer what more is there to say.
I represented Mr. Dyson's wife in fee dispute matter with her former personal injury attorneys. She had terminated her personal injury attorneys, because their lack of diligence had delayed the resolution of her case by about a year. After terminating her attorneys, Mrs. Dyson by herself reached an insurance policy limits settlement with the drivers of 2 vehicles. I represented Mrs. Dyson for the limited purpose of opposing her former attorney's claim for quantum meruit or reasonable compensation for the legal services they rendered prior to termination. Mrs. Dyson praised me for my zealous advocacy that her former attorneys were not entitled to any compensation or only reduced compensation, because they had breached their contractual and ethical duty to represent her in a diligent manner.
I found very pleased to work with Mr. Sutton and the services he provides. He is a honest attorney.
I was very pleased with the services provided by Mr. Sutton. I was lucky to have found him. He is the most honest attorney I've ever met. He is a straight shooter, extremely knowledgeable and professional. Someone described him as "pragmatic and will always craft a legal strategy with practicality in mind". That is perfectly said. His charges were fair, and were absent the usual techniques often used to run up a clients bill. I worked with him over the course of 2 years, and during that time he earned my full trust and respect.
Mr. Sutton is hands-down the most patient, laser-sharp focused, thoroughly professional, and extremely fair lawyer you can get. My case dragged on for 2+ years. The party we were dealing with was very uncooperative, very chaotic, and extremely difficult to deal with. They were very arrogant and rude with Mr. Sutton, both in and out of the court. However, Mr. Sutton was unbelievably calm and unprovoked and simply focused on the matter at hand. He is also very thorough in his documentation and filed all paperwork in a timely manner throughout. I didn't have to worry about that at all. I have to say he is also very straight-forward. I kept going to him with a lot of emotional reactions to the events that were happening but he just gave a very honest opinion. At times, it did feel like he was very blunt but I realized at the end of it all, that he kept his focus on the most important and relevant things that would hold value in front of the judge. He cut out all unwanted drama out of my case and helped me get a very fair judgement that I am very happy with. I had also heard of stories of how lawyers see you as their cash machines and milk you dry by leaving not a second unbilled. That is so not the case with Mr. Sutton. Not only were his fees very reasonable, but his billing was extremely fair. Had I gone with any other lawyer, I am sure I would have paid a lot more than I did. Thank you, Mr. Sutton, for helping me through this tedious, painful, and difficult phase of my life.
The changes to our deed went smoothly.
Attorney Sutton was extremely thorough and to the point. Everything was done in a timely fashion, fairly and with a great deal of knowledge. He was able to quickly resolve my family law matter and returned 75% of my initial retainer. Most attorneys will find a way to cheat you out of your money. He could not be more honest and his bill reflects that! I would definitely hire him again in the future!!!!
Stewart Sutton helped me through a complex malpractice issue that took over my life when I retired in 2019. To say I was satisfied with his legal representation would be an understatement. He accurately analyzed the nature of my legal issue, guided me through all steps as we proceeded, and obtained a favorable outcome for me. I give him my highest possible recommendation!
Excellent attorney. I went in thinking the divorce + custody would be uncontested, but when it suddenly became contested, he knew how to handle it from start to finish and to win the case for me. He did everything possible for my case. I would recommend him to anyone else.
Thank you. As background, a custody trial became inevitable when the client's spouse unexpectedly moved out of state.
I retained Stewart Sutton to resolve a situation in which my neighbor's vendor trespassed on my property and damaged my lawn and plants. Mr. Sutton drafted a compelling demand letter in which he requested that I be made whole for my property damages. Within a month, the vendor agreed to pay the full amount of compensation that I had requested.
It was a pleasure resolving this client's trespass and property damage claims.
Stewart was a pleasure to work with and very reasonably priced. He will be my go to for any future legal needs.
I was erroneously referred to Mr. Sutton, but that didn’t stop him from listening, and helping with a plan of action. It was invaluable to me during a very stressful time. I can’t thank him enough for just being a caring person, who lent me his ear when I needed one. I’m forever grateful.
It was a pleasure talking to this client and developing a strategy to solve her legal issue.
I highly recommend Mr. Sutton for your legal needs. I have known him for the past 10 years working on several cases together. I found him to be very smart, diligent, ethical with an outstanding communication skills. He will treat you like his own family and will not stop until he wins the case for you. He is one of the best lawyers in my book.
