Law Office of Travis R. Dickey

Having to look for a criminal defense attorney is not something that you want to do, but if you have to do it, I couldn't recommend anyone better in the Salem/Keizer, Oregon area than the law office of Travis Dickey. I retained his services in 2022, with my case finally closing in September of 2023. Mr. Dickey and his staff, in particular Chelsea, are kind, organized, and really helped me throughout one of the most difficult periods of my life. Chelsea was wonderful to talk to and helpful anytime I needed to contact the office. Mr. Dickey made sure that I was never surprised by anything, which was my biggest fear. He was exceptionally professional, knowledgeable, and I honestly don't think I could have made it through the process in court and everything else without his help.

The WORST attorney ever. Ive heard he is MARRIED to the DA!!!!! He had 3 years to communicate with a client and the day of court sat down with him for less than 5 mins and proceeded to sideswipe him in the courtroom. I would have given a negative 10 in the star section if I could. He gets paid one way or another whether he fights for you and does his job or does nothing. I suppose this is where his reputation comes into play he will not fight for you. You will have to fight for your innocence

We received excellent service from mr Dickey. We couldn’t have gotten a better outcome and we are so so lucky he represented us in our case. I’ve worked with a lot of “dump trucks” so to speak and he is not one of them. Thank you mr. Dickey. Really appreciate you and all your hard work and dedication! Highly recommend.

They are awesome and work hard to get you the help you need

Okay so this guy should be a DA because he acts like his clients are guilty and doesn’t even try to give them any hope or a better deal with their case. It says on his WEBSITE that he formally worked AT the District Attorney’s office. They probably go to brunch or whatever together. Definitely not the guy you want on a criminal case in my opinion!!!

If you get Travis as a Public Defender consider your self lucky. My mother was assigned Travis as her PD, but I will be writing this review as if this was a paid attorney relationship. Why Travis is awesome: Travis incredibly knowledgeable of the Marion County Court system and will move and change things for a better/faster outcome. Great counsel, From my perspective my mother was able to get a very reasonable deal, though it didn't look like this would happen early on. I am very happy we stuck with Travis through this process. and last Travis is just a great guy, he has a ton of passion for his work and takes his work and clients serious. Issues -1 star. As with many lawyers his responsiveness its underwhelming. Difficult to get in contact with, find details out, or answer questions. My mother was often confused on what was going on, when meeting should occur, or what court date was for what. It's easy to forget that most of us have no idea the difference between an omnibus and a deposition.

I agree with the first comment. Travis Dickey makes you feel like you're guilty until proven innocent. No "bedside" manner at all. Had me in tears within minutes. Didn't seem to believe a word I was saying. Plus, basically called me a drug addict!! Not someone I feel comfortable defending me because, he would not give a good defense. I was told I was lucky to have him for a lawyer. I don't think so. I believe I'm innocent until proven guilty! Not the other way around Mr. Dickey!!

I was actually just calling in to get a rate or price quote. Told him the basics of my case. Right of the bat I felt like he was a prosecutor not a defense attorney. The whole time I felt as if I had to defend myself. You have the right to make your own decisions just keep this in mind.
