I was charged with criminal speeding in Maine (alleged speed of 43 MPH over the limit) for a brief moment of pure stupidity. I had a clean record and was never pulled over for any reason before. As a young person with strong personal & professional aspirations, I was terrified that any criminal conviction would prove devastating for my future. Over the course of a few months, Cameron and I corresponded over 150 times to go over all aspects of the case and strategize to create the most persuasive defense. He treated me as a human being and was straight forward about everything. If you are honest about everything and straight forward with everything and answer his questions. Wouldn't hire this guy. Not sure if he treats people who need court appointed lawyers differently than you do he he's paid. But what I experienced was nothing. He doesn't call you back. He'll email you a packet. I'm a hit-and-run survivor with only 4% chance survival rate with a traumatic brain injury and this guy didn't have the audacity to call and explain. Not even the paralegal could have called. Mind you this is a very serious case. My fault understood, but the state gave you time for a reason. To be there for me not just email a packet. So I called the courts explaining exactly what was going on. Next day that guy emails me he's no longer my lawyer. So obviously the courts found him incompetent. And the lawyer I have now is amazing. Answers questions, and no I don't call everyday. I called this lawyer 3 times and so didn't my car manager and he never even answered her. Pathetic if you ask me. Treat everyone as equal. I honestly believe you are judgmental and could care less about those in need. I didn't deserve to get run over twice and disabled by a 16 year old. I deserved to have to the cops called on me. And didn't even listen to my story. Just assumed didn't you. Well my other lawyer is kicking butt and asking for a bunch of proof unlike you. So glad I didn't settle with you and trusted my gut. Thank God I didn't take this lawyer and trusted my gut with calling the courts. As Cameron was trying to make me do the deep program going to rehab after being clean for 2 years and 4 months and also trying to make me pay for counseling. Well I didn't have to do any of that. Is the new lawyer literally got me off of everything. I wouldn't trust this lawyer Cameron he does nothing but make you spend money that you probably don't need to spend. My case was over 2 years old so no I didn't need to do the deep program. If it was 2 months old yes I would have had to.
