Melinda was outstanding throughout my case. As someone with autism, I often struggle with focus and processing information, and she was consistently patient, clear, and understanding. She explained everything in a way I could follow and never made me feel rushed. She also responded quickly, often within 30 minutes, which gave me a lot of reassurance during a stressful time. I’m genuinely grateful for her professionalism and compassion.

This was the absolute worst attornies office I think any human could walk into...I didn't file first so instead of easily being a great attorney I thought she supposedly was her office managers lied to me repeatedly telling me how fine everything was Melinda never ever asked me any questions I gave her so so so much evidence literally all that she would have needed to take the opposing counsel down and there was so many reasons to do so she hardly knew my name 7 months later only pushing mediation when I said it didn't go good I figured she would want to talk about a plan she didn't talk to me AT ALL basically just met me on the the day of mediation with attornies and judge told me right before going in that the judge likes to settle out of court walked in and sat there with the opposing attorney and my ex and chit chatted about there kids and husbands laughing for an hour I never felt so uncomfortable in my life she told me oh everything's gonna be fine didn't EVEN TRY when it came to being there for me I walked out so shocked it felt like I never even had an attorney we didn't even go to trial and I got charged nearly 6000 dollars FOR NOTHING I would recommend to ANYONE to not call the office set foot in any off her offices talk about her nothing trust me go the other way she is out for herself and herself only and is friends with the other attornies so she doesn't give 2 boots if your right or in danger your child's in danger nothing I was bamboozled and what is so sad is if she was going to be THAT BAD? why on earth not tell me you don't want to take my case???? I felt like there was some jealousy or something because guys it was that bad...a nightmare to say the least like I had no attorney at all....

Melinda represented me in April 2024 and it took me some time to decide what to say, I think Melinda would benefit from a Ethics for lawyers continuing education program of some kind because she lied in court when I specifically asked her not to lie about facts in my case.

She cares deeply about her clients. Highest recommendation.

If I could leave zero stars I would. What a horrible attorney. After I retained her, I emailed and called SIX TIMES over the course of almost 2 weeks with NO RESPONSE. A hearing was coming up that she said she was going to reschedule but never did. Now I'm stuck representing myself at the hearing without an attorney. I emailed her to fire her and she replied within a couple of hours, of course. My child is literally in danger because of her. DO NOT HIRE HER!!!!!!!!

Melinda Brown is hands down the best attorney I could of had to represent me. I went through one of the worst years of my life with custody. She was ALWAYS available for any situation that arose and there was A LOT of situations with a ugly court battle. She gave my kids their life back. She means business, and will fight tooth and nail for you. I will recommend her to anyone I hear who needs a custody attorney.

Best lawyer ever.

Had an initial consultation with her and she said she would prepare the paperwork and send it over to me for review. Two weeks pass and nothing. Emailed and called with no response. 5 weeks go by and we finally get in contact and she said she’s been on vacation and had other pressing matters. Told me I can get another attorney. Why isn’t zero stars an option?

I called needing help with my case, I need someone to represent me, answer questions I have about my case, and how it may effect me in court, and what I needed to do with my restraining order, and the lady at the desk wouldn’t even listen to me. She kept telling me “I’m not understanding what you want Melinda to do, she has a retainer of $4,000”……… lady, I never said I didn’t want to pay a retainer, I never said any of that. I have questions (that obviously this lady couldn’t answer) and would like to speak with an attorney about my concerns…she then proceeded to tell me, “well I don’t know what to tell you, Melinda is booked out weeks, and I don’t know what your asking and what she can help you with” Seriously lady!!! I want to get an attorney to help me with my case… is that hard to understand? I didn’t have the patience to speak anymore, it’s hard enough to deal with this trauma, this man had abused me for years, and she was unwilling to listen whatsoever. I hung up the phone bawling!! I feel so hopeless as it is already! I’ve been in fear for my life! Why won’t someone listen? Am I talking to walls??? I am so sick of the lack of help there is for woman of domestic abuse. I had to hang up… Is this process going to be this hard just to get someone to speak with me about my rights? About my safety? And to represent other woman who isolated to speak up against their abusers before it gets to late… Sorry Melinda, I was willing to pay whatever was needed to protect myself from my abuser, but not by someone I don’t feel will support me in the office.

Very unresponsive. When retainer was exhausted she quit. I'm very disappointed.

Melinda and her office staff are the best! Attorneys can be intimidating! I’ve had my share. But when I walked into her office that first day and met Stacy, her secretary, I knew I was in the right place. The legal issues I am going through, Melinda and her staff are making it a breeze. I highly recommend this law firm!

Took a long time to get to the end. But eventually got everything done. I am pleased with how it all turned out. Just wish it hadn't taken so long. But with the current legal system it is a slow process. Melinda, Stacey and Donna were great though. Thanks.

The process was painless and only required one in-person visit. All court filings were accepted first time.
