Best real state lawyer in RI

Very disappointing interaction with this law firm. Had a potential deal in place to purchase a portfolio from somebody that this law firm represented. Both deals did fall through, not this law firm’s fault. After the first deal went through, sent them an email with my address asking for my deposit back, there was no issue in getting my deposit back from the purchase and sale agreement as they sent it back via US postal service promptly. Second deal that fell through required 14 emails to them with a release that the seller’s agents sent me that specifically asked how I would like my deposit back, I check off via mail and provided my address where requested. Waited a week and still nothing. I finally received this long email about the delays and not going through the proper channels at his firm, blah, blah, blah. The last paragraph finally said something along the lines that for security purposes they do not mail checks and that I was going to have to pick it up at his office knowing that I live out of state. Wait, you just mailed me a check for the first deal that fell through like 2-3 months ago, was there a company policy change? No response when asked. I finally made the trek down to his office where there was no sign of his business, just what appeared to be a common door entrance for the address provided where I thought I might find a directory or a door or sign leading to his office; nope. As soon as I entered there was a open door with approx 5 people huddled around a desk, I was approached by a woman that asked who I was looking for. I explained why I was there, and was told to hold on. 1-2 gentlemen huddled around the round table scurried into an office and said it would need to be cut and hold on a minute. You mean it isn’t ready after you told me to stop by last week to pick it up. After a few minutes, an approx 6 year old girl came out of the office with my check and handed it to me-quite the security procedures you claim to have in place. Something seemed off about this encounter at their office and very disappointing to have to travel to get my check even though you will accept deposit checks via mail and have sent them back via mail, also should not have taken 14 emails to get this straightened out. When I was asked to send a check after signing a P&S both times I did so the next day. Be professional!
