Mr. Gevers saved my life. It was a very long drawn out process but very much worth the wait in the end. Without going into detail I’ll say Mr. Gevers worked vigorously to reason and negotiate with prosecutors and it paid off amazingly. I’m very grateful to him and his staff for achieving such favorable results in my case and would highly recommend retaining him for any criminal defense needs.

Mr. Gevers took my case himself, yet did nothing for me. He initially told me it would be a quick open-and-shut case, and my issue would be resolved in no time. Not only did I have to call the firm to threaten to fire them just to get Mr. Gevers to call me with an update after months of no contact, he had no update for me and actually sounded annoyed that I was dissatisfied with his performance. In the hearing, he didn't do a single thing except sit in silence. He and his firm are pathetic and should not be allowed to practice law.

He doesn't do anything for inmates. Tells them he'll be down to talk to them, and 6wks goes by... never shows. 2nd court date comes and goes, and crickets. He won't go to bad and will just tell you, "no, we can't do that." but won't have an answer as to what we can do.

When I used this attorney to handle my legal case that I was already going to plead guilty too I was promised that I was going to be issued a conditional license for my driving that was over three months ago and I’ve called his office numerous times asking what the status is and I keep being given it another story as to why the paperwork hasn’t even been filled out, let alone handed to the judge or the clerk the last time I spoke with the Paralegal or assistant in his office. She literally hung up on me and when I called back to ask why she said I was being rude because I kept asking why she lied to me the last time and told me that she was waiting on Mr. Gevers to sign before Giving it to the clerk and the judge and the prosecutor here I sit still no paperwork filed and nothing can be done unless you do it yourself according to this law firm don’t hire them. It’s a waste of money they will ask you to plead guilty they will not represent you in any way, shape or form other than tostand up and talk to the judge directly which you cannot do

Gevers law office team was incompetent and following the initial sales pitch, showed absolutely no interest in handling my case. I paid Mr. Gevers $300/hr, but received a far worse experience than I’d expect from a public defender. .:INCOMPETENCE:. My case was an OWI charge, but I was below the legal limit. All it took was the prosecutor looking at my case to dismiss it, but unfortunately this took over 5 months. It took an additional 2 months for the correct paperwork to be filed to reinstate my license. I was without my license for 7 months! My case was delayed on 3 occasions because Mr. Gevers was never available for court. One time I cancelled a business trip to California, and as I was arriving on the footsteps of the court, I was called by the office informing they rescheduled my date. .:LACK OF CONCERN:. Still my license is on probation - which according to law it shouldn’t be, but Mr Gevers has ignored my many request and questions regarding this issue. They also ignored my emails constantly throughout the handling of my case. This is not meant to be an attack on the Mr. Gevers’ prowess and knowledge of the law, rather on how you will be treated if you become a client of Mr. Gevers.

Robert Gevers knows the law and is a genial, fair-minded man. He's definitely someone to have in your corner. Update: I sat in jail for 6 months while he did nothing. When I asked for an itemized bill and refund, I had to have my new lawyer intervene to get it. At that point he refunded the entire amount which shows that he did literally nothing at all while my son was growing up without me. If you have a big case and a lot of money, hire this man. If he asks for less than 10 grand, he will act like you aren't worth his time.
