Working with Steve and Casey has been a blessing in a process that is very difficult to understand and they made the process easy for me. I’ve had 7 spinal surgeries and just couldn’t work anymore. He got me approved the first time with my OPM disability retirement claim. I’ve worked for the postal service for 30 years but am only 51 years old. I wish I could have made it to age 57, but I physically and mentally couldn’t do it anymore. Steve and Casey were there every step of the way. Stephen is an outstanding Lawyer and Casey who works side by side with Steve compliments the one two punch these folks have. What is so impressive is the compassion they had for me along this journey which started with me needing assistance with a FERS disability claim. My ignorance on different retirements that OPM makes available left me needing some serious help because I retired without knowing how, when, and who to file my claim with and needless to say; I was denied. This is when I called Steve. Steve provided guidance and counsel all the way through the appeals process and helped me tremendously when I was losing patience during the process and constantly gave me reassurance which put me at ease. While filing FERS Disability, there was a requirement to file SSDI which we did. I thought I had gone through the ringer with FERs, but FERS couldn't hold a candle to what I had to deal with when it came to SSDI. It was brutal and Steve knowingly walked me through the process, directed me in what medical evidence I needed, what supporting Doctor's notes that was needed, kept me abreast on correspondence to file and how to file. What is even more impressive is that I live roughly 8 hours from Steve's Office and all of this work was conducted via email, USPS, phone, and text.
