if i can give negative stars i would. Like the other review left the attorney abandoned and disappeared. I decided to look him up and he has numerous suspencions and can't practice law In California. I confronted him and he said i didn't know how to read. The writing is on the wall. I took screen shots of the bars complaint. Run don't use this attorney.he has been getting discinplinary charges his whole career***UPDATE As you can see the attorney did not dispute the many suspensions..he is very unprofessional I was supposed to get my retainer agreement oct 4th as you can see he kept ignoring me said he would call back and.did not. Dont waste your time...Im not the only review that said he diassapears
Reviewer contacted me on Oct. 4, 2024 seeking an attorney to represent her, as a Tenant facing eviction, at an Unlawful Detainer Trial set for October 16. Up until this time, she had been a self-represented pro per. She asked us how much to represent her at Trial and I quoted her $750, She then asked for a Payment Plan. To which I agreed, splitting the payment into two. I asked her when she could pay and she said she could make the first payment on October 9th, and the second payment after the Trial. Foolishly, out of kindness I agreed.<br><br>So we then agreed to meet on October 9th the next Wednesday when she would allegedly make her first payment, sign the Substitution of Attorney, and sign the retainer agreement. This is the date she chose. <br><br>On October 5th, a Saturday, a day when I do not offer business hours, at 2:32 pm in the afternoon, she called. I did not answer, but I sent her an Automated text saying I would call her back. She texted back and said ok.<br><br>On October 7, a Monday morning, at 6:41 AM she texts me to say that “I see why you have stopped responding do me”. She then insulted me and then stated “you can’t even practice law in California.” She has also threatened to file a frivolous Bar Complaint.<br><br>To which I replied, “I am not suspended, I am fully active. Learn how to read”. I then also said, “I am not required to work for free on Saturday and Sunday. <br><br>Her response was “CAN YOU NOT READ ACTIVE AND CAN’T PRACTICE LAW IN CALIFORNIA. SO ANY STATE BUT CA, HAVE A GOOD 1.”<br><br>After that, I formally confirmed that I would represent her at the Trial, and again told her she doesn’t know to read.<br><br>So, to address her complaint. I did not abandon her, I didn’t disappear, this is a just false and arbitrary fabrication completely made up by her. She chose to end the potential representation before it even began.<br><br>Second, as anyone who is literate and capable of reading can see. I am an Active Member of the State Bar. And I am fully licensed to practice law in California. Now, and when I was contacted by her. Her rants to the contrary are not true.<br><br>So her claims are just slander. <br><br>As for my disciplinary record, its public, and you are free to review it. And any potential client is free to discuss it with me in person.<br><br>However its clear that this particular reviewer was triggered because I wasn’t willing to work for free on a Saturday and/or Sunday. And even though she had a scheduled appointment for October 7th. She felt entitled to speak on October 5th.<br><br>If you are a tenant who can’t find Attorney help, just remember its because of people like this reviewer.<br>
Mr. Hrouda is a colleague who has very often given me advice on the inter-relationship between bankruptcy and divorce. He is extremely knowledgeable, and I have learned a lot about tax and bankruptcy matters which helps me better serve my diverse clients. Mr. Hrouda's professionalism and collegial generosity is rare in this profession. I would highly recommend him to family/friends in need of his tax and/or bankruptcy expertise.
I contacted My Hrouda regarding his services. He was quick to respond and agreed to take the original case I called about and an additional case we discussed during the consultation. Details were given and discussed again through email, when he stated he was sending the retainer agreement. Then he ghosts me!! I sent several emails asking if everything was OK and that I have not received the retainer. Today over a month later, I receive a response apologizing for not answering sooner and that he's no longer taking the case. As a fellow small business owner, I find this very unprofessional and more from a Lawyer as these issues are time sensitive. He wasted my time and energy, sadly I don't recommend. And honestly if you don't hear back in a timely manner, go to plan B as soon as possible.
