Scott Lawrence has been phenomenal helping us with our property survey and deed. He helped us avoid some potential issues and is very timely in his responses. I’m a newbie to this process, but he’s been very kind and patient. Looking forward to working with him in our closing. Shout out also to Jessica B. for her kindness over the phone. Thank you Laws & Laws!

Very disappointed with this firm. Would never recommend. This office handled our closing and they were messy and rude from start to finish. Not even sure how we ended up with them for our closing because we did not pick them. First, we called the office at our appointment time that they made with us and no one in the office knew what the heck we were calling for or who we were. So we had to wait until..... I guess someone found Courtney Law and told her she had an appointment she was missing. Then, when everyone was finally able to get on the phone and was able to get their ducks in a row, come to find out, that we needed a witness and our notary was not enough. With all the instructions emailed to us, this was not clear in their paperwork that witnesses were needed for signing. So when we sat down this suddenly became a problem and they blamed us for not being prepared and that we should have read the instructions more thoroughly that were emailed (and there were a lot) Not to mention, this was the first time we'd done this. The attorney, who i believe was Courtney Laws, if memory serves me correctly, was nothing but rude about it as well. However, despite all of this, we managed to scrape someone up and get the signing done. (You would think that with something as important as closing on a home, that just maybe......a phone call ahead of time or when the appointment is being made, they might take the time to point out certain important and critical items needed at closing......just a thought). So, unfortunately, the story doesn't end here. After hiring what had to be a special notary that handles closing papers, for several hundred dollars, we thought we were done. A couple of days later, we get, if i recall correctly, an email from the law firm that they "forgot" and left out some pretty important papers from the closing packet AND somehow were also missed in the closing meeting where Courtney went over every single page before we signed......... And, of course these papers were urgent and also needed to be signed and notarized or.....closing wouldn't happen. So, we had to yet again, take time off of work and pay a notary to come out for these 2 additional papers. Not our fault but Laws & Laws took zero responsibility for their mistake and was even rude about it when we called them out on it. So, here we are in April 2024, 6 months after being in our new home and it's tax time. Come to find out that Laws & Laws didn't do their job correctly again and missed the fact that taxes needed to be paid and there was a credit from the seller to the buyer in the docs. They never noticed the money wasn't collected or accounted for in closing. We're only finding out now because we received a Demand notice from the county that taxes are overdue on our new home and our home will go up for auction in a month if taxes are not paid immediately. All I have to say right now is...... "ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!" Each page was reviewed by the attorney as was each line, at closing...... So, after many phone calls to our lender and the county trying to figure out what is happening now, its been determined that yet again, another colossal blunder by this law firm. So, after all of this SURPRISE! we're on the hook for this lack of competency blunder by this law firm and have to come up with the money last minute. This firm has done nothing but cost us money and stress! If I could give ZERO STARS, I would. I would NEVER recommend this firm to anyone.

Always a great experience for my clients when working with Meredith and Courtney. They take plenty of time out for each closing to be able to answer my clients questions and listen to their needs.

I would not recommend this law practice. It all sounded perfect at the initial consultation but then everythig changed. The cost of the paperwork was not incorrect (obviously it costed more of initially quoted), lack of communication between staff at theoffice and inefficient professional counseling of steps to follow. Our case was not complicated at all and routine work for this office. Despite this, we were poorly advised and had to find all information on our own, Very dissapointing and I will not return or recommend Courtany's services to anybody.

What an awful experience from start to finish. The firm was hired by the person who bought my home and they could not have been more difficult to work with. They claimed to be representing both parties but did not do so. In addition, they also CCed both realtors, the buyer and myself on all emails which violates keeping personal information private for both parties and resulted in the buyer writing a very nasty email on the thread to my realtor. Incredibly unprofessional. They also failed to inform my prior mortgage company of my new address so my escrow check was going to the wrong address and I had to call to have them void it out and send me a new one. I would give zero stars if I could.
