If I am mistaken and this firm is not for Melvin Raines II please let me know and I will happily delete. Yari Lawson is a wonderful attorney and I hope he has not joined firms with Melvin Raines because it would be a tragedy. DO NOT hire Melvin Raines as an attorney. I am not his client but I have been with his client as she has tried relentlessly to reach him to discuss her case for over a year. At one point she called him daily without success. Melvin Raines agreed to represent her in her divorce (and was paid a retainer) yet her case was dismissed earlier this month because after 5 YEARS Melvin Raines had only attempted to serve her husband ONCE. Even the judge told her she needs to find another lawyer. If he didn’t want to represent her he should have removed himself from the case.

Melvin is the only attorney I would ever hire for violation of probation in Bibb County. Reasonable isn't a strong enough word price wise. Prosecution tried to fry every other defendant with better records than my own, explaining why said defendant shouldn't be granted bond or have hold lifted etc. when it came to Me their only words were "no opposition". Melvin Is and has been on fire with violations for as long as I've known his name, which has been for years.

I really appreciated Mr. Lawson's persistence and constant communication about the progress of my case. He helped me make a sound decision that was best for my family and me. I highly recommend Lawson Raines, LLP to anyone in need of great legal representation.
