I had a random need to contact Lawyers Title about a years-old property sale they had handled. They were extremely helpful and were able to resolve an error the county had made within a few hours. I really appreciate the service I received!

I have been involved in many hundreds of real estate closings, but never experienced anywhere near the incompetence that I experienced with Ashley Mace, Rachel Shelton and Brittany Norton (and Amanda Escobar, Senior Claims Counsel with Fidelity National Financial ). My experience was so bad that I filed a complaint with the Texas Department of Insurance and plan to sue Lawyers Title Company for a refund of all fees that I paid to them but that they did not earn.

I feel for you if you ever have the misfortune of dealing with Ashley Mace or Rachel Shelton. Both are incredibly incompetent and do not care about their customers whatsoever. Together, they might manage to tank a $850,000 home sale. We were given nothing but ineptitude and condescension from them from start to finish. They provided incorrect information after incorrect information, something that we had to correct on our end, and instead of apologizing and diffusing a situation, they doubled down and made the situation 10 times worse. I cannot understand why any realtor would ever choose Lawyer's Title as their title company. They are highly unprofessional and treat you like scum. Out of all of the real estate transactions I've done in the past, I've never not received my funds the same day. Lawyer's Title likes to go against the status quo and make you wonder if you'll ever receive your money. They don't care to ever update you at any point during the process. Their notary singing agents tell you you'll be funded by 4:00 pm the same day, all the while nothing could be further from the truth. They are flippant and could care less about doing a good job. If you call them out on something they said that was incorrect, they'll simply ignore your email. Rachel Shelton actually had the audacity to call my email "abusive." Having a victim mentality when a customer wants to know where their $300,000 is is not a good look for a company. I've never been so infuriated dealing with a company. If you're a realtor, please do not put your buyer or seller through the massive headache of having to deal with this company. The way their agents conduct themselves and the incorrect information they give to customers is unacceptable at best. We will be filing a report against this company on our experience. Oh, and we still have not received any of our funds for the sale of our home. It's maddening knowing such incompetent, rude people are in charge of all your money. For all we know, we'll never get the funds! Update 3/7/24: We thought our nightmare with this incompetent company was finally over, but it certainly is not. Their employees are so inept that they sent our pool payoff loan to our own PO Box! This is now causing a delay to the closing of our next home! This is negligence at its finest. I had to leave work early to rush to the post office in pouring down rain to overnight the check to the correct address at my expense. I reached out to their corporate office about the never ending problems with their incompetent employees but have yet to hear back. I will now be suing them if they do not reimburse me for the overnight shipping charges I incurred and any delay in my next closing caused by this massive blunder. This is truly unbelievable that a company could make this many egregious mistakes, and we absolutely believe this was an intentional act to cause more stress and delays for us.

I had the pleasure of working with Rachel Shelton and Sydney Sabetpour for a purchase transaction recently. They and their entire team were pleasant to work with and quick to respond. From the mortgage lender point of view as well, they were very easy to get final documents balanced and obtain the necessary information for a loan to close. Rachel Shelton - she's just the best. Rachel is always there every single time I had questions. She was very patient but efficient at the closing table. I send all of my business to Lawyers Title because I like them as a company, but most importantly, because I trust them throughout the transaction.
