Update: All claims and sanction requests from Lee Law office against me were dismissed with Prejudice by the Court. The case resolved to basically what was in the original contract before Lee Law office got involved and removed from the case (minus the approximate $100,000+ overall additional legal fees that accrued from the other side in my opinion from using Lee Law office). Use your own judgement on how you would want a law office responding and behaving. I would use one a bit more professional.
Mr. Broughton was a self-represented plaintiff in a civil suit filed against his uncle, who our firm represents. He is not and has never been a client of our firm. Mr. Broughton's claims about our firm and the attorneys that work here are not true, with the exception of his claim that we prevented our client from speaking with Mr. Broughton about the case without our client's legal counsel present during such discussions. As a result of Mr. Broughton's conduct in the pending civil case including making slanderous claims against our firm and its attorneys, our firm sought sanctions against Mr. Broughton. The Court's ruling on this motion for sanctions has been temporarily stayed by the Court but it will, in our opinion, eventually be granted. A review of the other Google reviews Mr. Broughton has left for other business or individuals shows he has a habit of leaving very negative reviews for people or businesses he doesn't like. This comports with his scorched earth approach utilized in the pending litigation before he was prohibited by the Court from filing any documents that were not first reviewed by a licensed Montana attorney. He has also since been removed as the trustee of the trust which he was acting as in the pending litigation.
I had an excellent experience working with Attorney David Lee. David was very professional, knowledgeable and responsive. Their billing was very transparent and emailed me updates monthly on the use of my retainer. The support staff at Lee Law Office is amazing as well. I highly recommend Lee Law Office in Shelby. I plan to use them for any future legal matters I may have.
